Our mission is to provide the necessary support for every Cincinnati Public School student to engage in extracurricular activities throughout the year.

Historically, culturally, and legally, public funding of extracurricular activities in Ohio is limited. Students have traditionally relied upon parental support in the form of cash donations, fundraisers, and transportation. For many students, this is not viable. 66% of the students in the Cincinnati Public School District are at or below the Federal Poverty Line. Children are left without the ben

efit of extracurricular activities. Since our inception in 2004, we have generated over $3,000,000 which has been utilized in athletics, the arts and music.

We're currently looking for dedicated tutors to support students through individualized, in-person tutoring this summer.

Tutors will:
• Meet with a student for 1 hour per week from June through August
• Travel to a student's home or a nearby library
• Earn $50 per hour (with flexibility for longer travel distances)

Qualifications:
✔ Background in education or currently enrolled in an education program

There may also be opportunities to continue tutoring beyond August.

Tomorrow, May 30, join ABC and Music Matters at SCPA to drop off your instrument donations. Your simple act of generosity will give a local student the chance to experience the joy of music this coming school year.

🥁 Cleaning out your closets before summer? We want your old instruments!

This Saturday, May 30, is the big Music Matters & ABC Instrument Drive drop-off day at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA). If you're wondering what we're looking for, we accept gently used:

🎷 Woodwinds (Flutes, Clarinets, Saxophones)
🎺 Brass (Trumpets, Trombones, Horns)
🎻 Strings (Violins, Cellos, Guitars)
🥁 Percussion & more!

(Please ensure instruments are in playable or easily repairable condition!)

Can't find an instrument but still want to support? You can also make a financial donation to help us refurbish and repair donated pieces for the students!

What an incredible celebration for our students and community! 🎉

We were honored to be part of the unveiling of LEARN, LIBERATE, LEAD, a new mural at the Spencer Center for Gifted and Exceptional Students, created by Cincinnati artist Cedric Michael Cox in collaboration with students.

This mural, inspired by the legacy of Marian Spencer, is more than just a work of art; it’s a reflection of student creativity, community pride, and the power of learning through the arts.

A special thank you to Karen Hordinski for her leadership and dedication throughout this process. Her work helped make this moment possible!

It was truly special to witness the unveiling and celebrate the students who helped make it possible. We’re so proud of everyone involved! 💛

We are thrilled to announce that the Millstone Fund has awarded ABC a $200,000 donation in support of our artistic programming!

This unrestricted gift allows us to put these funds where they’re most needed, creating opportunities for students to explore, learn, and grow through the arts.

We are deeply grateful for the Millstone Fund’s support and for helping us continue inspiring creativity and building confidence in the students we serve!

Rees E. Price Academy just leveled up!🎉

With a generous donation from Scott Miller and a flawless installation by MotzScapes/The Motz Group, our students now have a brand-new soccer pitch: a space for fun, teamwork, and lifelong memories.

Principal Maher led the ceremony with heart, energy, and inspiration. She wants to give every student the chance to learn and grow together in youth sport, as she did as a young soccer player herself! Her vision for this project and her connection with every student truly shone through, reminding us all why strong leadership matters.

We are so grateful to everyone who made this possible — here’s to countless goals, smiles, and moments of joy on the new pitch! ⚽💛
