May is National Fitness and Sports Month! πŸ’œ

Movement matters for your body and your brain. Physical activity can boost mood, improve sleep, and support overall wellness for people living with epilepsy.

We encourage safe, supportive fitness for all, whether that’s a walk in the park, chair yoga, or adaptive sports. Every step counts.

How do you like to stay active? Let us know in the comments!

Have you heard of Sturge-Weber Syndrome? Many people haven't, and that's exactly why awareness matters πŸ’œ

Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS) is a rare neurological condition present at birth, often recognized by a port-wine birthmark on the face. But what many don't see is what happens inside β€” abnormal blood vessels in the brain that can cause seizures, stroke-like episodes, vision loss, and developmental challenges.

Epilepsy is one of the most common and difficult features of SWS, affecting the majority of those diagnosed.

At EAO, we stand with the Sturge-Weber community. Rare does not mean alone πŸ’œ

SIDNEY OH! πŸ’œ

Thank you to Amy Chupp for once again hosting a fundraiser in Sidney OH to support our Camp Flame Catcher πŸ’œ

This year, Amy hosted an Epilepsy Comedy Night that featured local comedians filling the room with laughs and also delicious food, drinks, and auction items. Amy proudly raised $2000.00 which will send many children to our camp this summer. Over the years, Amy’s efforts have made a huge impact on kids living with seizures. As a person living with epilepsy, Amy wants to make sure these children experience the fun of camp. Your generosity is greatly appreciated Amy!!!
