Happy 46th Birthday to our Founder & CEO, Kimberly Huckleby! 🎂🎉

For 19 years, Kimberly has poured her heart into Ladies of Leadership with one mission in mind: Changing One Life at a Time.

She is more than a Founder and CEO. She is a visionary, mentor, educator, advocate, prayer warrior, community builder, wife, mother, entrepreneur, and a woman who has dedicated her life to helping others discover who they are and who God created them to be.

Because she said YES to the vision, thousands of girls and families have been encouraged, empowered, exposed to new opportunities, and reminded that their lives have purpose. 💗

Today, we celebrate not just another birthday, but 46 years of LIFE, FAITH, PURPOSE, IMPACT, and GOD’S GRACE!

Some moments are simply unforgettable, and our time in the BT RISE suite at the FC Cincinnati game is one we will forever cherish! 🥹❤️

A HUGE thank you to Ms. Barbara Turner and BT RISE for blessing us with such a beautiful experience. Your generosity gave us more than a night at the game—you gave us an opportunity to laugh, fellowship, celebrate, and create memories together.

And Mary Carol—THANK YOU! ❤️ You were an incredible host and took such GREAT care of us from beginning to end. Your kindness, hospitality, and attention to every detail made us feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

We laughed, cheered, ate GOOD 😂, took pictures, and simply enjoyed being together.

Today was nothing short of AMAZING!

A huge shout-out to Saturday Morning Cereal Vibes and the incredible Arielle Nelson for pouring into our youth with such passion, excellence, and authenticity. Arielle is a visionary entrepreneur who has transformed a creative idea into a thriving business, proving that purpose, innovation, and perseverance can create endless possibilities. She is not only building a successful brand but also inspiring the next generation to dream boldly and think beyond limitations.

Our campers had the opportunity to participate in a master class on entrepreneurship, where they learned valuable lessons about starting and growing a business, branding, creativity, customer service, and believing in their own ideas. To top it all off, they created their own delicious cereal sundaes a fun, hands-on experience that brought entrepreneurship to life!

Experiences like these are priceless because exposure creates opportunity. When young people can see successful entrepreneurs who look like them and hear their stories firsthand, it expands what’s possible in their own minds.

Thank you, Arielle and Saturday Morning Cereal Vibes, for investing in our future leaders. We are incredibly grateful for the knowledge, inspiration, and unforgettable experience you shared with our students. On Friday, we had the privilege of participating in an extraordinary Youth Summit hosted by LaToya Hall and the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio and what an unforgettable experience it was.

From the moment our young people walked through the doors, they were reminded that their voices matter. Throughout the day, we heard powerful reflections that captured the heart of the experience:

“I finally felt heard.”
“I learned that my story has purpose.”
“I know now that I can make a difference.”
“This gave me hope.”
“I found my voice today.”

These weren’t just comments—they were evidence of transformation.

Friday’s Youth Summit created a space where the voiceless found a voice, where confidence replaced fear, and where young people were empowered to dream bigger, think deeper, and recognize the greatness within themselves. The impact of this experience will extend far beyond one day because seeds of purpose, leadership, and hope were planted in the hearts of so many youth.

LaToya Hall continues to lead with vision, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to meaningful change. Her passion for uplifting young people and creating opportunities for them to thrive is inspiring and is making a lasting difference throughout Greater Cincinnati. Her work is changing lives, strengthening communities, and building a brighter future for the next generation.

We are incredibly grateful to the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio and to LaToya Hall for inviting Ladies of Leadership to be a community partner in this important work. Collaborations like these remind us that when organizations come together with a shared mission, we create lasting impact and empower young people to become the leaders they were created to be.

A little over a week ago, we gathered for an unforgettable evening at the 4th Annual Ladies of Leadership Awards Fundraiser, and we're still reflecting on all that was accomplished.

The Ladies of Leadership are proud to recognize Chaka Powell, a woman whose life exemplifies servant leadership, faith, and community impact.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Chaka currently serves as Community Engagement Director for Aftab Pureval, where she works tirelessly to build meaningful connections between residents and local government. Her leadership experience also includes influential roles with I Hear Music, Inc. and Visit Cincy.

Chaka's commitment to service has earned her numerous honors, including recognition as one of Who's Who in Black Cincinnati's Most Influential, a graduate of the African American Leadership Development Program (Class 27), and a YWCA Rising Star.

Above all, Chaka is a woman of faith who leads with grace, purpose, and compassion. Inspired daily by her husband and two daughters, she continues to pour into others and make a lasting difference in the lives of those around her.
