Dan Beard Council NYLT National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) centers on the concepts of what a leader must BE, KNOW, and DO. What is NYLT? What is its purpose?

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting and powerful program designed to provide members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use to lead themselves and others. This week-long outdoor experience represents a month in the model life of a typical Scout unit. The purpose of NYLT is to support the Unit Adult’s training of the youth leaders. The o

bjectives of the course are to:
■Provide a toolbox of leadership skills
■Relate these skills to leading in their unit
■Instill knowledge and confidence to run the unit program
■Enhance relationship between the Scout and the unit
■Share ideas and experiences with other Scouts
■Experience Scouting at its best
■Have fun!

This is my favorite program! Join me on Saturday, April 6th. We have several excellent speakers, I t’s free, lunch is included and you do not need o be a Scouter to attend. ALL ARE WELCOME!

Join us at the Youth Protection Summit where we will hear from area experts on how we can all best support and protect the children in our communities and programs.

The Dan Beard Council welcomes everyone to attend a powerful day of learning and collaborating with other youth serving members of our community as we recognize Child Abuse Prevention month.
