City Bureau City Bureau is a nonprofit civic journalism lab based on the South Side of Chicago.

City Bureau is a neighborhood newsroom and journalism training lab aimed at regenerating civic media within Chicago’s historically disenfranchised and underreported neighborhoods. City Bureau will build a sustainable pipeline for locally responsive reporting on the city’s South and West sides by creating an intensive, hands-­on training program that brings young journalists from diverse backgrounds into collaboration with professionals in the field.
