🦌 Maverick & Scout update!

These two may have started out together, but they’re certainly not growing at the same pace!

Maverick is starting to look like a young adult deer. He’s already developing little antler nubs and has changed so much that it’s hard to believe how quickly he’s growing.

Scout still has that unmistakable fawn look. He’s smaller and developing at a noticeably slower rate than his brother.

The good news? Both boys are healthy and doing well. ❤️

It’s not unusual for twins to grow at different rates. Early differences in access to nutrition and other resources may play a role, along with individual differences in growth and development. We’ll keep watching both of them closely as they continue to grow into their own little dudes.

It’s also pretty amazing to see just how seriously Auntie Abigail takes her mother role. We know Babs is smiling down knowing her boys are so loved and cared for. We’ll continue to share updates along the way, but come visit us soon to see them yourself! 🦌💚

Chip has a new girlfriend!

He says she’s tall, dependable, and has a great sole 💕🐓

🐓 Chip’s Tips of the Day:

🍳 If your humans move too slow with breakfast, get it yourself.

🔧 If you’re not part of the project, insert yourself.

👀 Always supervise what the humans are doing.

🚗 And remember… there is no job, tool, or vehicle that doesn’t require rooster supervision.

Chip takes his responsibilities very seriously.

We put new chairs in the enclosure for volunteers and visitors…and Pearl. She’s tried every single chair, but decided the chicken coop is still her favorite.

Now the other goats want in on the fun, so stay tuned to see how many goats can shove themselves into small spaces meant for birds!

There’s something pretty special about watching friends experience the magic of Caillou’s Calling.

The joy on their faces as they interacted with the animals was such a gift for us to see!

Thank you for spending the day with us AND for the generous vegetable donations! It was fun sharing in the joy that makes Caillou’s Calling so special. ❤️
