They will present on backyard wilderness and Illinois wildlife in the area. Join a naturalist from the Forest Preserve District of Kane County as we learn about local wildlife.
Using artifacts like furs, skulls, skeletons, shells, and molts, we showcase the wide variety of wildlife that lives right here in Illinois. We’ll also learn how native wildlife helps plants survive and thrive by spreading seeds, pollinating flowers, and shaping healthy habitats.
From birds and mammals to insects and other small creatures, many species play an important role in maintaining balanced ecosystems.
