Today in Chicago: Pizza, Power & Appropriations 🍕🏛️🗳️

The NFBPA Chicago Chapter is proud to highlight an important civic engagement opportunity bringing students, public officials, and community leaders together for a conversation about how government decisions directly impact higher education.

Pizza, Power & Appropriations: From Campus to Capitol — Who Decides What Our Colleges Get?, presented by CCBS and the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation, will give students an opportunity to learn more about voting, public funding, representation, and the connection between civic participation and the resources available to our communities.

Creating pathways for young people to understand government—and giving them direct access to public leaders—is essential to developing the next generation of informed voters and public servants.

This exceptional leadership team represents a broad range of expertise across public administration, education, workforce development, business, and community engagement.
