Join us for a not-so-spooky evening at our Adaptive program's Sensory Friendly Halloween, an event for all ages and abilities. 🎃 Enjoy multiple trick-or-treat stations, community resource tables, a bounce house, and crafts and games, all held in our enclosed gym for a safe, secure environment that's great for individuals who may wander or elope.

Please join us in congratulating Ms. Keke on being selected as Teacher of the Month for August at our Early Learning Center at the Jefferson School! 🍎

Ms. Keke is truly loved by all the children. She makes them laugh, feel comfortable, and supports their social-emotional growth. She's especially dedicated to her Spanish-speaking students, often working one-on-one to help them build English skills and communicate confidently with friends and teachers.

Always smiling and ready to help, her positive attitude and genuine care make a real difference every day. We're so lucky to have her on the Piedmont Family YMCA team! ❤️

We get it, the idea of running a 10K can feel intimidating. Join us for a six-week training program to help you feeling confident and race-ready! 🏃 YMCA running coach, Tom Evans, will lead a 10K training program for anyone looking to run their first 10K or needing some motivation. This program is the perfect prep for the Halloween Hustle 10K on Saturday, Oct. 31.

WHO: Adults ages 18+
WHEN: Saturdays, Sept. 12-Oct. 17, 7:15-8:15am
SESSIONS: 6
FEE: $45 for members, $70 for non-members

This weekend, our Adaptive participants hit the town for the launch of a brand-new program: Around Town Adventures! They started by learning how to read a bus schedule and plan a route, then hopped on the CAT bus from the Y to downtown Charlottesville.

Once on the mall, the fun really began — pizza, ice cream, and some shopping to support local businesses! 🍕🍦 Programs like this give our participants a safe and supportive way to practice real-life skills while having fun with friends.

We're planning to run Around Town Adventures once a month, so stay tuned to see where the next adventure takes us! To learn more about our Adaptive programs, check out piedmontymca.org/adaptive-programs
