What incredible events in Charlotte and Raleigh 💛

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Key Parties and helped make these evenings so meaningful! Together, we’ve raised $198,572 to help unlock safe, stable housing for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

And there’s even more to celebrate: we met the A.J. Fletcher Foundation’s $40,000 challenge match in Raleigh, bringing the potential impact of our Key Parties and matching gift to approximately 94 people moving from homelessness into stable housing.

At Lotus Campaign, we have the pieces in place:
🏠 Landlords with available units
🤝 Social service partners ready to provide support
🔑 Neighbors who are qualified and waiting for a safe place to call home

Every investment helps unlock a door, restore dignity, and create a path toward lasting stability.

Just a few of our favorite moments from our Key Party in Raleigh last week 💛

From selling out our entire event, to the keynote speech from Dr. Jim O’Connell, to the testimonial from Lotus-sponsored resident Alexa, thank you SO much for making our Key Parties a success!

We are also thrilled to share that we met the A.J. Fletcher Foundation challenge in Raleigh, unlocking an additional $40,000 matching gift to support our work. Altogether, the Key Parties and matching gift represent the potential to help over 90 people move from homelessness toward lasting stability.

There are still donations coming in from this event, so keep an eye out for our FINAL amount raised!

Charlotte! You always make hosting a party a DREAM.

We’re still in shock…15 minutes INTO the event, we received a surprise $25,000 donation - making our goal of providing safe, stable housing to those in need even more achievable!

Strong partnerships open doors to housing 🏠

In Late July, our Charlotte team at Lotus brought together 12 landlord partners representing 53 apartment communities, 10 social service partners, and community stakeholders to strengthen collaboration through the Lotus Landlord Participation Program.

“The event was especially meaningful at this time. With federal policies and funding shifting all around, social service agencies are navigating continued uncertainty in finding housing for their clients,” says Charlotte Program Director Geoff Brooks. “Bringing everyone together created an important opportunity to reconnect, share ideas, discuss available housing opportunities, and build new relationships.”

The connections are already making an impact, with 10 applications now pending.

More importantly, the gathering helped build trust, share housing opportunities, and strengthen the relationships that help individuals and families find stable housing.

By continuing to build these partnerships, Lotus can continue opening more doors to housing for individuals and families across Charlotte 💙
