is a non-profit community organization organized to implement projects that stimulate improved school attendance of students in schools in Mecklenburg County. Responsible School Attendance: It sounds simple but it becomes an essential ingredient for students from families that don't recognize or are unable or unwilling to fill in the educational gaps for their children. These are families that may not have a computer in their home, may not take their children to the library or ensure that their children get exposure to reading every day. School absences for these children could deprive them from exposure to reading or getting their only balanced meal for the day. They could miss receiving the one piece of learning that could cripple their education for years to come.
