Justice Ministries is a non-profit organization committed to combating human trafficking with a primary focus on the rescue and restoration of victims of human trafficking. Modern day slavery, the trafficking of persons, is the fastest growing crime industry today. Occurring currently worldwide with an estimated 27 million victims being trafficked in the slave trade, there is an estimated 1 million victims in the USA. The Buffalo is a symbol that is utilized frequently within Justice Ministries. This is due to the fact that buffalo show unyielding compassion for the women, children along with the weak and sick within their herd. When predators approach, buffalo have multiple defense strategies that they enact to protect the ones that cannot protect themselves. Additionally, the buffalo is a North American animal that has faced oppression while maintaining their personal strength and resilience. Presently, Justice Ministries is raising awareness about the issue of human trafficking and aligning partnerships with law enforcement agencies to increase efforts to locate and rescue victims. Along with recuse efforts, Justice Ministries is in the process of preparing housing options for victims that are rescued; being that bed space for victims is very minimal in the USA and there is a great need for more. Justice Ministries is additionally working on forming relationships with churches along the corridor from DC to Atlanta. These relationships are being formed to be a future working relationship as all three parties partner together to fight this injustice.
