Is your student interested in joining a robotics team but not sure where to begin?

QCRA’s Robot and Coding After-School Program gives students in grades 4–8 a hands-on introduction to building, coding, and problem-solving. No previous experience is required. Students can explore whether robotics interests them while developing the basic skills, confidence, and teamwork that can help them become effective members of a competition robotics team.

With robotics, automation, and AI shaping more future careers, early exposure can help students discover their interests and begin building experiences they can carry into future team, school, and program applications.

Automation, robotics, and AI are changing the skills needed across many future careers. Early exposure gives students an opportunity to explore these fields, discover their strengths, and see what captures their interest.

QCRA offers two hands-on after-school options, and neither requires previous robotics or coding experience. Robot and Coding introduces students in grades 4–8 to building, coding, and problem-solving. Robot Challenge is designed for 7th grade and older students who are ready to work with larger robots and take on more complex challenges.

Whether your student is just beginning to explore STEM or is ready for something more challenging, there may be a place for them at QCRA. Programs begin September 9 and 10.

A smart way to finish the summer.

Before school starts and robotics season gets moving, QCRA’s Robot & Coding Summer Camp gives students a chance to try hands-on robotics, build confidence, and see if this is something they want to explore further.

This is more than a way to keep students busy. Students build and program robots, solve challenges, work with teammates, and learn in a supportive environment guided by peer instructors and mentors from our robotics community.

For students who are curious about robotics, coding, engineering, or future competition teams, this camp is a great starting point. For students who already have some experience, it is also a fun way to warm up before the season begins.

Only two more camps remain this summer.

Thank you to Recore Electric for supporting QCRA through an in-kind donation connected to our Hops & Bots fundraiser.

Their donation of exit signs and other electrical materials helped make our facility safer and supported the continued development of our machining center. These behind-the-scenes improvements are essential to creating a safe, functional place where students can build, learn, and gain hands-on experience.

Support like this helps QCRA provide more students with access to robotics, engineering, advanced manufacturing, and other STEM opportunities.

Robotics is about much more than building robots. Students explore engineering, programming, design, business, leadership, and teamwork while discovering their strengths and interests in future STEM careers.
