QCRA CEO Rob Hillman was interviewed today about how robotics can help prepare students for future careers in the age of AI.

For students, that future starts with hands-on experience.

Robotics gives young people a chance to build, code, test ideas, solve problems, work with teammates, and discover what they are capable of.

This summer, families can connect with QCRA through free Robot Block Parties, Robot & Coding Summer Camp, and other hands-on STEM opportunities.

To learn more or register, visit QCRA.Eventbrite.com.

Watch the interview, share it with a family, and help more students discover robotics.

Thank you to everyone who came out, met our students, saw the robots, and supported QCRA’s mission. This recap captures the energy behind what we do: students building, solving problems, and discovering what they are capable of through hands-on STEM.

The momentum continues tomorrow, June 4, with our Drop-In Night. If you are interested, or know a student or family interested in robotics, coding, teamwork, or future STEM opportunities, this is a great time to come see QCRA in action.

We are also still working to reach our Hops & Bots fundraising goal of $15,000. Thanks to our supporters, we are already more than halfway there, but we still need help to close the gap. Every donation and sustaining gift helps us keep these programs accessible and growing for more students.

Watch the recap. Share it with a family. Invite someone to Drop-In Night. Make a gift if you can. Help us finish strong and invest in the next generation of STEM talent.

Looking for a summer experience that is hands-on, active, and meaningful?

QCRA’s Robot Block Parties, supported by the Arts & Science Council’s Culture Blocks program, give families a free way to see robots in action, meet robotics students from championship teams, and learn what hands-on STEM looks like up close.

QCRA’s Robot & Coding Summer Camp gives students the next step: a chance to build, code, test ideas, solve challenges, prepare for future team participation, and work with teammates in a fun and supportive environment.

Whether your student is just curious, already interested in robotics, or looking for something different this summer, this is a great time to get connected.

Join us on May 21 at NoDa Brewing Company, starting at 5:30 PM, for Hops & Bots. An evening where robotics, industry, and community come together to support a meaningful cause.

The evening includes networking, team demonstrations, and insights from industry leaders Richard Vaughn and Sean Barunas from Bosch Rexroth, presenting "Automation in Action - How Linear Technology Powers Real-World Robotics and Machines".

Looking for a meaningful team-building opportunity?

Bring your team, invite colleagues, or come as a group. Connect around real-world innovation, explore volunteering opportunities, and help raise funds for a cause that matters.

Your participation supports STEM workforce development, expanding access to hands-on robotics programs, strengthening teams, and helping lower barriers so more students can explore future careers in engineering and technology.

Summer is a great time for students to explore robotics, coding, and problem-solving in a hands-on way.

Thanks to support from QCRA robotics teams as part of their volunteerism and outreach efforts, financial support is available for eligible families for select summer programs, including Robot & Coding Camp and our more advanced Robot Challenge program, inspired by the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition.

Qualified families can provide supporting documentation to receive a discount code before registering. Details and registration information can be found at QCRA.Eventbrite.com.

If cost has been a hesitation, this is a great opportunity to take the next step and explore what’s possible.

Please note that financial support is currently limited to the listed camps, and we are working to secure additional support for additional programs.

Buy a ticket, invite a colleague, or bring your team for a meaningful team-building evening.

Hops & Bots is this Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 PM at NoDa Brewing Company, and we need more people in the room to help support hands-on robotics opportunities for students.

Come grab a beer, connect with local professionals and community leaders, meet our championship robotics teams, and see students in action as they build skills in coding, engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving. This is more than a happy hour. It’s a chance to support the next generation of innovators while strengthening connections across our community.

Every ticket helps fund the tools, equipment, outreach, and programs that make QCRA possible and keep STEM opportunities accessible for families working hard to give their children these experiences. Bring a coworker, invite your team, or share with a friend. Your support helps open doors for future builders, creators, and problem-solvers.

It takes a lot of people to raise young talent. By showing up, bringing a colleague, inviting a business friend, or making a donation if you cannot attend, you are helping build the circle of support around the next generation of builders, coders, and problem-solvers.

Have a beer. Meet great people. Talk with students who are already building the future.

These photos are from previous Hops & Bots events, and they show what makes this evening special. It is not just a fundraiser. It is a chance to visit with professionals, network with people who care about STEM and workforce development, and chat with QCRA’s championship robotics teams about what they are building, learning, and solving.

On Thursday, May 21, at 5:30 PM, Queen City Robotics Alliance will be back at NoDa Brewing Company for Hops & Bots.

Your participation helps the community in a very practical way. Ticket sales and donations support the shared space, tools, equipment, outreach, and programs that make hands-on robotics possible. They also help us keep opportunities within reach for families who are stretching to give their children access to robotics, coding, mentorship, and STEM pathways.

It takes a lot of people to raise young talent.

Some people give time as mentors and volunteers. Some people give through tickets, donations, and sponsorships. Some people help by bringing colleagues, business friends, and community partners into the room.

All of it matters.

If you care about robotics, automation, AI, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, workforce development, or simply helping students see what is possible, join us for Hops & Bots.

Come for the beer and networking. Stay for the students, the robots, and the community impact.
