Join us every Tuesday and Friday from 11:30am to 12:30pm for Storytelling! It’s a fun, welcoming time to listen, share, and use our imaginations together. 💛

We love when new families visit GiGi’s Playhouse Charlotte, and we’re so happy to have had this amazing participant stop by to strike a pose! 🧡

GiGi’s Playhouse is a Down Syndrome Achievement Center that offers free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Our mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a message of acceptance to everyone. 🩷

Every program we offer is free to our families, and that’s only possible thanks to our community. This month, our donate-a-day fundraiser is helping us keep our doors open and our programs thriving. Parachute fun was in full swing at Special Olympics Young Athletes! 🌈 Join us every Saturday from 11:00 am-12:00 pm as our youngest athletes build motor skills, teamwork, and confidence through movement and play.

It's always a joy to see smiling faces and so much energy during this program — a great way for our little ones to get active and have fun together!

We’re so happy for Marie-Claire! 🧡 Thanks to Dream On 3, Marie-Claire and her parents got to experience a dream come true at the ACC Tip Off!

Marie-Claire met so many of the women’s college basketball stars she looks up to, plus Coach Poppie from Clemson and Coach Lawson from Duke. She even got to sit down and talk with ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips! 🏀

GiGi’s Playhouse Charlotte is proud to partner with Dream On 3, helping connect individuals with them so they can grant wishes and make dreams come true. A huge thank you to Dream On 3 for making this day possible and for celebrating Marie-Claire the way she deserves. 💙

Creativity was flowing at Art Explosion last week! 🎨 Every Thursday from 11:00-12:00, our friends gather at our Playhouse location in Ayrsley to color, craft, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Art is such a great way for our participants to build fine motor skills, focus, and confidence — all while having a blast with friends.

Today's lineup is full of fun! 📖 Our friends kicked things off with Story Telling from 11:30-12:30, then danced their way into Open Play from 1:00-2:00 — complete with movement activities on the big screen and plenty of giggles.

We love seeing our participants build confidence, make friends, and just enjoy being active and included together.

This is what our mission looks like in action! 🧇💛

At GiGi's Playhouse Charlotte, we believe every individual with Down syndrome deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build independence — whether that's through life skills like cooking, literacy, fitness, or career readiness. Every smile, every "I did it!", and every high-five is a reminder of why we do this work. 🙌

And this October, you can be part of making even more moments like this possible! It's Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and we're running our Donate-A-Day Fundraiser — become a 3-2-1 Champion by donating $321 for a day in October, with your name featured on our calendar! 📅
