Celebrating Disability Pride Month! ๐Ÿ’™

Toward the end of July, Mecklenburg County Public Health staff visited Lions Services to learn more about our programs and the work we do to empower people who are blind to achieve personal and economic independence.

Staff participated in hands-on activities designed to provide perspective on low vision and blindness, followed by a tour of our new Charlotte Braille Trail.

We had a wonderful morning of learning, connection, and sharing! Thank you, Mecklenburg County Public Health, for spending time with us and celebrating Disability Pride Month. ๐Ÿ’™ Mecklenburg County Government

TECH the Halls: Community Spotlight ๐Ÿ’ป๐ŸŒŸ

Technology has the power to transform lives and together, we're making that happen.

This video was created as part of our TECH the Halls initiative in December 2025, made possible through the generous support of corporate funders who believe in expanding access to technology and creating opportunities for individuals throughout our community.

A special thank you to Share Charlotte and TECH Connect for partnering with us to help advance digital equity. Together, we're building a more connected, accessible, and inclusive future for all.
