Join us for the Community Impact Film Series event focused on Visible and Invisible Disabilities. This free community program brings together film, dialogue, and community resources to educate, engage, and empower attendees. The event will include a film screening, a panel discussion featuring community leaders and subject-matter experts, and a resource fair connecting participants with local organizations and service opportunities.

Today is World Sight Day, a reminder of the importance of vision health and the impact vision loss can have on individuals, families, and communities.

At Lions Services, we believe vision loss should never stand in the way of independence, opportunity, or achieving your goals. We provide vocational rehabilitation, training, employment opportunities, assistive technology, and other resources to help people who are blind or have low vision build confidence, gain independence, and thrive.

This World Sight Day, help us continue creating opportunities for people with vision loss in our community. Your support helps Lions Services provide the resources and services people need to live and work independently.

October is Blindness Awareness Month and National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

We started the month with our 4th Annual Braille Trail Walk for Independence, bringing our community together to celebrate independence, raise awareness, and support opportunities for people who are blind or have low vision.

At Lions Services, we are proud to create opportunities for employment, independence, and personal growth. This month, we celebrate the accomplishments of people with disabilities and the importance of access, opportunity, and inclusion in our community. 💙

The 2026 Braille Trail Walk for Independence was made possible because so many people and organizations believed in our mission and chose to support Lions Services. With everyone's incredible support, the Braille Trail Walk raised a record $100,852, exceeding our $100,000 goal!

To our incredible sponsors- Thank YOU! Your generosity helped make this day possible and allows us to continue creating opportunities for people who are blind and low vision to build confidence, independence, and brighter futures.

To our employees, vendors, partners, volunteers, donors, participants, employees, and community supporters -thank you for showing up and being part of such a special day.

This Walk is about more than one day. It is about what can happen when a community comes together to support independence and create opportunities for people with vision loss.
