Marybe McMillan, president of the North Carolina State AFL-CIO, said it perfectly,

"We can elect worker-friendly lawmakers," McMillan said. "We can make our voices heard today, tomorrow and we can make a difference." 💪🏻

Since 1999, the annual event has featured local labor union floats, vehicles, and marchers alongside political candidates, bands, car clubs, and more.

The Charlotte Labor Day Parade Committee wants to take a moment to remind everyone early voting continues in our county until September 6th. Go VOTE! Election Day will be Sept 9th for all who cannot early vote. We are proud to host candidates from all political parties in our parade. American support for organized labor is increasingly steadily!! Electing officials who support labor unions and the American worker is vital! Voting information can be found at NCSBE.gov.
