Greetings from the newly elected board!
As we reflect on 2024, we recall fond memories of gathering together at various events such as the Iftar, Spring Picnic and Christmas Party.
The most significant change was that the MPC chose to cancel its annual Fall haffleh because of the turmoil and devastation in the Middle East. In lieu of that, a virtual fundraiser was held. We are proud to share that $72,000 in funds were raised and donated in full to various recognized organizations in Lebanon. This included over $35,000 to Beit el Baraka, $10,000 each to Association Maak, Smile in a Box, and Stouh Beirut, as well as to the village of Deddeh.
In addition to continuing our philanthropic efforts in 2025, the MPC plans to introduce more events geared toward our youth. To help achieve this vision, the MPC has invited two young adults from the community to serve on the board, Mark Saleh and Edouard Nadra. Our youths represent the future and our focus on education remains paramount. Every year we invite senior high school students from the community to apply for scholarships, and last year we awarded three. We plan to continue this tradition in 2025.
Our club is dedicated to bringing together individuals who share a love for Phoenician heritage, culture, and community. Whether you’re looking to connect with new friends, celebrate traditions, or participate in exciting events, you’ve come to the right place.
