Hello October 🍂🎃
Don’t forget your dog’s monthly preventative care. Even in the cooler season flea and tick prevention is still important too! 🐾

Today we honor and remember Tucker Budzyn, a very special Golden. He was the goodest of all good boys. 🐕🌈🪽

Tucker Budzyn, one of the internet's most beloved dogs, has passed away after a short battle with cancer. Tucker was born on May 3rd, 2018, and shortly after, his human Courtney began posting his life online. He quickly gained millions of followers across Instagram, Tiktok, and Youtube. He went on to win Pet Influencer of the Year in both 2021 and 2022. In a video posted earlier today announcing the news, Courtney said through tears, "Tucker, I love you so much. You saved my life. There’s nothing in this world that I wouldn’t have done for him. He was literally part of me. He was part of my soul. It feels like I lost a body part." We are awarding him our highest honor, 15/10 ❤️

Happy National Dog Day! ❤️🐕🐾❤️
The goal of the National Dog Day Foundation is to rescue 10,000 dogs a year. When you think about getting a pet please consider adopting. You can also support the effort by volunteering and donating to the Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte or another rescue organization in your area.

These are definitely the dog days of summer! According to the Farmers' Almanac "The Dog Days of summer run July 3 to August 11. They are usually the hottest and most unbearable days of the season; not fit for a dog.” Many people (and animals) try to slow down and enjoy a cool nap in the shade somewhere, but our volunteers have been as busy as ever saving dogs!

Harley is one of the dogs we've rescued recently. Following her arrival at the GRRCC she required surgery, which involved some complications. So far, the GRRCC has spent over $4,000 for her medical care. Thankfully, she's stable now and has been matched with her forever home.

Harley is one example of how expensive rescue work can be. Each dog we rescue receives professional and comprehensive veterinary care, including spay/neuter services and behavioral evaluations. Our adoption fees don’t come close to covering the full cost of rescues.

Donations slow down in the dog days too! Can you help? Financial support is critical for the GRRCC to continue our mission to rescue and rehabilitate unwanted, abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered Golden Retrievers. Any amount will help us save more dogs like Harley. Visit our website to learn more and make a secure online contribution.

Thank you and stay cool! https://grrcc.com/donation-2/

Happy National Rescue Dog Day.
Today, we celebrate the special bond between rescue pups and their humans. It should really be called National Rescue A Human Day, because we all know who rescued who!
