Our mission is to provide autism support, sensory-related support, classroom management support, and education to teachers, therapists, communities, and families. Autism is an unfamiliar disability in many parts of the world. Learning has a more profound impact when it is modeled, and the teachers and therapists can experience it versus being told. This is why it has been critical for us to provid

e in-person support. Right now, we are focused on supporting the schools and hospitals in Tanzania and Kenya. We traveled to Tanzania in July 2019, where we provided educational support, modeling, and materials to the therapists at the hospital, a local Primary School, and a team from Kenya. Our next steps for the schools/ community are to help fund a safe therapeutic environment, provide the locations with the ability to assist their students with a means of using functional communication. We will also be working with the Kenyan team in Kenya this summer when we go to their school and provide in-person support.

Every step taken up Mount Kilimanjaro is a step toward a brighter future for children with autism in Tanzania.

Our incredible climbers are embarking on this journey to raise awareness and support for the Autism Beyond Borders TZ Dedicated Autism Center in Moshi, Kilimanjaro a place where children and families can access the specialized services they deserve.
