📢 Lake Park HOA Updates

The Lake Park HOA Board has two important reminders for our community:

📱 Sign Up for HOA Text Alerts
An opt-in email was sent on Friday, July 17 with instructions to register your phone number for HOA text message alerts. If you haven't signed up yet, please check your email and complete the quick registration. While participation is voluntary, it's a great way to receive important community updates and notifications quickly.

🙋 The HOA Board Needs Volunteers
The Lake Park HOA currently has two open Board seats. If you've ever considered getting more involved and helping shape our community, now is a great opportunity!

Not sure what's involved? If you'd like to learn more about the responsibilities, time commitment, or duties of serving on the Board, email [email protected]. There's no obligation, and they're happy to answer any questions.

🎉 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸! 🎉

We've had a lot of new neighbors move in recently, and we'd like to say welcome! If you're new to Lake Park, you may notice that our community is a little different from most.

Lake Park is unique because our neighborhood is served by two separate entities:

🏛️ The Village of Lake Park manages services such as roads, police, trash collection, parks, street lighting, zoning, pool and Village ordinances.

🏡 The Lake Park Master HOA is responsible for enforcing the community's Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs), hosting HOA events, reviewing and approving Architectural Control Committee (ACC) requests for exterior home modifications, and overseeing Garden District landscaping contracts.

Another thing that makes Lake Park unique is our HOA structure. While every home in Lake Park is part of the Lake Park Master HOA, several of our townhome neighborhoods also have their own sub-HOAs. These neighborhood associations manage items specific to their communities, such as exterior maintenance, roofs, landscaping, or amenities, depending on the neighborhood. Homeowners in these communities are members of both their neighborhood HOA and the Lake Park Master HOA. Double the fun!

Because of this unique partnership, it can sometimes be confusing to know where to go for information. We hope these resources help you get connected!

The Lake Park Master HOA Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Lake Park Community Center. Residents are encouraged to attend and stay informed about community business.

We encourage every resident to create an account and sign up for email notifications so you don't miss important updates.

Good afternoon Lake Park neighbors,

The Town of Indian Trail will be holding their annual Family Fun Day at Crooked Creek Park tonight, Saturday, June 6th. As some of you may remember, as a part of this celebration the Town of Indian Trail hosts fireworks at the conclusion of the event (approximately 9:00 pm). Due to our close proximity, the fireworks can be seen and heard throughout Lake Park. This can be very terrifying for our pets! As a precaution, please create a safe haven for your pets in a sheltered, escape-proof part of your home with plenty of water. Also, turn on the TV to help mask the fireworks with familiar sounds.

Thank you for your cooperation in making our fur-babies comfortable and safe!

🗂️ Community Shred Event – This Saturday! 🗂️

Good afternoon, neighbors!

Your Lake Park Master HOA is hosting our Community Shred Event this Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Meeting Street next to the Town Center.

✔️ FREE for Lake Park residents
✔️ Rain or shine

📦 Event Guidelines:
• Maximum 4 boxes/bags per vehicle
• Each box should be manageable (approx. 40 lbs or less)
• Residents only (no businesses)

🚫 Items NOT Accepted:
• Batteries
• Food waste
• Large metal objects

❓ FAQs:

Do I need to remove staples or paper clips?
No. Just remove items from binders or notebooks.

What can be shredded?
Financial/legal documents, receipts, tax records, and medical records.

Will my boxes be taken?
No. Please take your empty boxes back with you.

Can I watch my documents being shredded?
Yes! A live video display will show the shredding process.

What happens after shredding?
All materials are recycled into new paper products.
