🍎 Calling All Rising Kindergarten Families! 🌟🎉

We can’t wait to welcome our newest DIS students and families! 💙🩵

📅 Sunday, August 9
🕒 3:00 to 5:00 PM
📍 Daniel Island School Playground (closest to the corner of Purcell Street and Settlers Street - see second slide for map)

👋 When you arrive, be sure to check in to receive a color-coded wristband that matches your child’s kindergarten class. It’s a fun and easy way to find future classmates and start making connections before the first day of school! 🌈

🍦 Enjoy ice cream, 🤝 meet new friends, and 🛝 let the kids play on the playground while families get to know one another.

📱 Want to stay connected? Message us for information on how to join your child’s grade-level page and keep up with important updates throughout the school year.

☀️ Join us on Monday, June 1 for our Summer Sendoff Party right after dismissal behind the school. PTA is treating every student to a King of Pops, and we’ll have slip-and-slides and a foam cannon to kick off summer the right way.

Come cool off, have some fun, and celebrate the start of summer with us. We can’t wait to see you there!

🌺 Let’s Lei on the Thanks for our amazing DIS staff! 🌺

Join us as we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week April 27 to May 1, sponsored by the DIS PTA. We are so grateful for the incredible teachers and staff who support our students every day, and this week is all about showing them just how much they mean to us.

The PTA will be treating our staff all week long, and room parents will be organizing gifts for homeroom teachers and adopted staff members. You can also show your appreciation by shopping your teacher’s Amazon Wish List.

Thank you for helping us make this week special for the staff who do so much for our school community. 💙

Keep an eye out for balloons around town and join us in supporting our amazing local businesses!
