The Shifa Clinic is a non-profit and tax exempt clinic was founded by Dr. Reshma Khan, who was a gynecologist at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center.

Shifa Clinic is a non-profit providing free comprehensive healthcare and hunger prevention services in Charleston, SC

Food Pantry Hours:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Clinic: by appointment only
Apply to be a patient at our website! The Shifa Clinic is funded by Dr. The Islamic Circle of North America Relief USA (ICNA Relief USA). The clinic is able to offer its services free of charge due to the efforts of dedicated volunteers and faithful financial support of ICNA Relief and community members. Our free clinic project is about connecting with humanity and serving to the best of our ability. We all know that healing is from God and God alone. We are merely an instrument of the Healer. There are no fees for the Free Medical Clinic's services, though we do encourage patients to leave a donation, if they can. Services include:

Obstetrics comprehensive service
Gynecological Exams including pap and no cost screening mamogram
Pediatrics
Vision
Primary care
Onsite dispensary for no cost medication
IUD insertion and Removal
Colposcopy with biopsies
Pelvic and abdominal Ultrasounds
No cost lab work
Referrals for Surgeries as needed. On site food pantry with monthly home deliveries.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Shifa Free Clinic is helping eligible, uninsured women access free breast cancer screenings! 💗

📅 **Saturday, October 24 | 11 AM–1 PM**
📍 Jerry Zucker Middle School, 6401 Dorchester Rd., North Charleston, SC 29418

**Requirements for a free mammogram:**
- Ages **40–64**
- Have not had a mammogram within the past 12 months
- Do not have health insurance
- Must complete a Shifa Free Clinic patient enrollment application before receiving services

**Advance registration is required!** Scan the QR code on the flyer to register for a mammogram. Need help with the enrollment process? Call our office at **(843) 352-4580**.

This week we took a chance to recognize the hard work and dedication of the lovely Ms. Vonnetta of Carmichael Medical Training

Vonnetta has been our partner and like family for 3 years, and her impact has been immeasurable. She has trained many Medical Assistant students in our facility, supported our clinical operations and cared for hundreds of our patients.

Ever the professional and in persuit of the next great challenge, we are so excited for her as she enters into her Nurse Practioner training, and we cannot wait to officially welcome her for her clinical rotations beginning in Spring 2027. Join us in sharing congratulations and gratitude to our friend! 💚🧡🏁

We had a wonderful time at last evening's community gathering hosted by the wonderful ladies of the Junior League of Charleston SC. We saw our program partners & volunteers, and met representatives doing great work on many fronts.

Shifa Clinic's food pantry is a greatful recipient of Junior League's Diaper Bank program. Through their efforts, diaper donations keep our shelves stocked, ensuring our families have access to diapers each month.

Thanks so much for having us last night, and for all of the wonderful work you do to support the Charleston community!

This week, we had the pleasure of meeting with representatives from The Citadel's Nursing Program as we begin an exciting new partnership to provide nursing students with a clinical experience at Shifa Clinic through their Community Health course.

At Shifa Clinic, we believe that hands-on experience serving communities in need is an essential part of preparing the healthcare providers of tomorrow. Experiences like these give students the opportunity to see firsthand how compassion, service, and community health come together in the delivery of care.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with The Citadel and to play a small part in shaping future nurses 💚🧡

We look forward to welcoming the next generation of nurses to Shifa Clinic!
