Heartfelt thanks to our charity partners, families, friends, neighbors, and every individual and entity that contributed to our charity over the past 15 years. What began in 2008 when we fed 75 families in need on Thanksgiving, ultimately became the largest Thanksgiving charity in Charleston. Over the next decade and a half, this community came together to feed over 260,000 local residents in need at Thanksgiving. The Basket Brigade would not have been possible without the heart and generosity of Piggly Wiggly, and 💛 There are thousands of individuals and countless organizations / businesses that supported our small charity along the way including (but not limited to)
and many more. What began as a mission to feed families in need evolved into an epic celebration of gratitude that we all experienced together each year. What a joyful journey it has been. From fundraising to coordinating volunteers, mapping delivery routes, placing food orders, fielding thousands of phone calls, planning out logistics, assembling and delivering meals, TV appearances, marketing efforts, public relations outreach and more - our true blue partners and CBB champions were the glue that made our annual event run so smoothly and effortlessly. Thank you to everyone that contributed to this incredible legacy. The Charleston Basket Brigade is an undeniable example that when a community comes together, magic happens.
