Every day, individuals and families across South Carolina are waiting for the call that could change their lives forever.

Right now, 1,278 people from multicultural backgrounds are waiting for a lifesaving transplant in our state. For many, that call will only come because someone made the selfless decision to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor.

One registered donor has the potential to save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of more than 75 others through organ, eye and tissue donation.

During National Multicultural Donor Awareness Month, we invite you to learn more about the need for diverse donors and consider registering your decision. Your choice could one day bring hope to someone who is waiting.
