Ashley Hall's campus just doesn't feel the same without our Horizons girls! It's only been one week, and we already miss everyone dearly.

As we look ahead to the school year, we can't wait to share our students' incredible academic growth results from this summer and welcome our Horizons families back for our first Saturday Academy. Until then, we're holding onto the memories of an unforgettable six weeks and looking forward to another year of learning, laughter, and growing together.

Each summer, we celebrate our rising 9th graders as they complete their Horizons journey. Most of these students first joined us as rising 1st graders, making Horizons their summer home for the past nine years.

The friendships they've built, the memories they've made, and the experiences they've shared have helped shape the incredible young people they are today. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to welcome them back next summer as members of our High School Program. Some will even return as Horizons Assistant Teachers!

Please join us in congratulating our graduates and wishing them the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter—high school!

📚 Academics are at the heart of every Horizons summer because every child deserves the opportunity to keep learning, grow in confidence, and avoid the effects of summer learning loss.

Our students take STAR Reading and Math assessments at the beginning and end of the program to help us measure growth and guide instruction. It's one of the many ways we ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive.

Across the Horizons network, students consistently achieve the equivalent of 6–10 weeks of academic growth during our six-week summer program, a powerful reminder of what's possible when high-quality instruction meets joyful learning.💜

💜 Swimming is one of the most important parts of the Horizons experience.

Every summer, our students build confidence and learn essential water safety skills. Swim instruction isn't just another activity, it's a life-saving skill.

According to the CDC, drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children ages 1–14, and Black children ages 10–14 drown in swimming pools at rates nearly 8 times higher than their White peers. That's why ensuring every child has access to quality swim instruction matters.

A huge thank you to Herbert Hasell Pool for generously donating the use of your facility this summer. Your partnership is helping equip our girls with skills that will benefit them for a lifetime. 💙🏊‍♀️
