Many schools and communities are participating in National Walk to School Day today. Safe Kids Chatham and Chatham County Parks and Recreation were out bright and early to support Pittsboro Elementary and Horton Middle School. UNC and Duke put our rivalries aside today and hosted a basic newborn child passenger safety class with UNC Health Chatham Maternity Care Center for National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Month. A big thank you to Safe Kids Durham County Coordinator, Shannon Jackson, for providing this great class with us and for the Chatham County Public Health Department's amazing Safe Kids Chatham members/CPS Techs for helping out!
