The Greater Chambersburg Area Paid Firefighters are super excited for our community designed holiday t-shirt store to be up and running.

We partnered with the Chambersburg Area School District for students to submit designs for t-shirts. There were many fantastic submissions and after voting by the public Elena’s from CAMS North was selected as the winner. Using her creative design the shirts serve as a fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds are going to be used for charitable events in the borough. Events such as the upcoming Holidays with Heroes. In which members from the Fire and Police Departments take children in need from the local school shopping at Target, allowing them to shop for themselves and their families for Christmas. These families also receive food boxes of essentials so that they are able to enjoy the holiday season.

The funding from these program is solely from donations from local businesses, fundraising efforts from our members, and donations from the public. Please support our efforts to make a positive impact in the community. There is the option on the store to donate directly instead of purchasing a shirt if you prefer. We thank everyone for their support in our work to continue keep these unique homegrown Chambersburg events going!

10/29/2026 - B Shift

E1-1 and A1-9 were dispatched for an auto accident in the 1100 blk of Lincoln Way E. Units arrived to find one person confined in the vehicle. TW1 was started and E1-1 began extrication. Units completed extrication upon the arrival of TW1. A1-9 evaluated patients and units returned to service when ready.

10/27/26 - D-Shift

Training - Members of D-Shift met with the Borough of Chambersburg Water Department to discuss the operation of the Vac Truck. Members talked with the water department about potential uses of the truck on technical rescue incidents.

1714HRS - E1-1, E1-2 & TW 1 were dispatched to the unit blk of Gall Way in the 1-01 box for an inside investigation, odor of gas. Units metered the building and found normal readings throughout. Scene was turned over to building maintenance.

1940HRS - E1-1 & A1-9 were dispatched to the 1100 blk of LWE in the 1-01 box for a vehicle accident. E1-1 arrived and determined there were no injuries. E1-1 secured the vehicles and swept up debris.

0432HRS - E1-2 & A1-9 were dispatched to the 400 blk of S Main Street in the 1-02 box for a vehicle accident. A1-9 determined there were no injuries. E1-2 secured the vehicles, handled fluid leaks and swept up debris.

Members also participated in multiple Trunk or Treats throughout Chambersburg.

10/26/26 - C-Shift - Box 1-02 - Intersection of Wayne & Sheller Avenues - Borough of Chambersburg - Auto Accident

Engine 1-2 & Ambulance 1-7 were dispatched to the Intersection of Wayne & Sheller Avenues for an auto accident

Additional information reported was 4 vehicles involved & unknown injuries.

Engine 1-2 arrived and confirmed dispatch, all occupants appeared to be out of the vehicles. Chief 1 (Ulrich) arrived and assumed Command 1. Engine 1-2 secured the vehicles, cleaned debris from the roadway and handled several fluid leaks while Amb 1-7 handled patient care.

No injuries were reported, crews remained on the scene until vehicles were removed before going available.

10/24/2026

10/23/26 - D Shift

At 1741 hours E1-2, E1-1, TW1, and mutual aide units were dispatched for a pulverizer on fire inside a building.

E1-2 arrived on scene first due finding smoke conditions throughout a one story industrial building. Crews deployed a leader line and began investigating.

Chief 1 (Ulrich) arrived on scene taking command 1 and requesting a working fire dispatch due to interior conditions.

E1-2 crew located a fire throughout the dust collector of the pulverizer and began fire attack.

Remaining units brought in multiple power tools to begin a significant overhaul checking for fire extension and hot spots throughout the systems. As well as securing the sprinkler and fire alarm systems.

Units worked for approximately 3 hours confirming all fire was extinguished before returning to service.

Thank you to our mutual aide partners for their assistance on this incident and also the transfer crews from Vigilant Hose Company #1 for their help getting our units back in service.

HUGE victory for all our Brothers & Sisters across Pennsylvania!!!

A VICTORY FOR PENNSYLVANIA FIRE FIGHTERS!

Governor Josh Shapiro has signed SB 804 into law, marking an important victory for the health and safety of Pennsylvania's fire fighters!

This new law takes meaningful steps to reduce exposure to dangerous PFAS chemicals in firefighting foam and provides greater transparency about the chemicals in our protective gear.

The Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association thanks Governor Shapiro and the members of the House and Senate who supported this legislation, especially Senators Gene Yaw and Nick Miller and Representatives Brian Munroe and Jared Solomon. We are especially grateful to our members, union brothers and sisters, and advocacy partners who worked tirelessly to make this victory possible.

Our gear should protect us, not put our health at risk. Today, Pennsylvania has taken an important step toward making that a reality.

10/23/26 - D-Shift

1155HRS - E1-1, E1-2, TW 1, A1-9 and mutual aide units responded to the 100 blk of Derbyshire St in the 1-02 box for a possible house fire. E1-2 and AC 1 (Myers) arrived to find a 2.5-story multi-family residence with nothing evident from the exterior. Units investigated and found a light smoke condition throughout the first floor and the crawl space. Units found a small fire in the crawlspace. The fire was extinguished and crews checked for extension.
