Our search is officially underway! 🍬🎃 👻 WIN Victim Services will be participating in two Trunk or Treat events this year, with the first one coming up on October 6. We’re rounding up plenty of treats to make both events extra sweet.

Think you can help with the bounty? 🤠 We’d love donations of candy from our generous community!

For more information about donating, contact Karly at 717-251-3802 or [email protected].

Prefer to shop from home? 🍬 Candy can also be purchased through an Amazon Wishlist and shipped directly to WIN: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/32SXAXIRJ230F?ref_=list_d_wl_lfu_nav_1

Reward: Happy kiddos, full candy buckets, and a whole lot of community appreciation! 💜

Each year, we participate in The National Network to End Domestic Violence’s survey, which is coming up on September 9.

The survey captures the urgent needs and heartbreaking stories of domestic violence survivors, along with the lifesaving work of advocates and programs that support them.

Together, we can raise awareness and strengthen support for survivors in our communities. 💜

When we teach children about boundaries, help young people understand healthy relationships, challenge harmful behaviors, and create environments where people feel safe speaking up, we're taking steps toward preventing violence.

Help us prepare for the colder months! As we begin transitioning our shelter clients' clothing from summer to winter, we’re in need of leggings and sweatpants to help keep our clients warm and comfortable.

The sizes we need most are M, L, XL, XXL and above.

New clothing is preferred, but we gladly accept gently used items in good condition.

If you’re able to donate, contact Karly at 717-251-3802 or [email protected].

Thank you for continuing to support WIN Victim Services and the individuals and families we serve! 💜

A heartfelt thank you to our generous community donors! Thanks to your kindness, WIN Victim Services was able to provide school supplies for our clients and sponsor a family with two children as they prepare for the new school year. Each child received a backpack, lunchbox, water bottle, and a new school outfit! 🎒📚✏️

Thank you for helping our clients and their children feel cared for and ready for a new school year! 💜

If someone you care about tells you they've experienced domestic or sexual violence, you don't need to have all the answers.

You can:
• Listen without judgment
• Believe them
• Let them make their own decisions
• Ask how you can support them
• Respect their privacy
• Help them connect with resources if they're ready

You don't have to "fix" the situation. Sometimes, simply being there and reminding someone that they are not alone can mean so much. 💜
