Did you know that members of the LGBTQ+ community experience domestic and sexual assault at rates equal to or higher than their cisgender, heterosexual peers? Studies consistently indicate that bisexual women, transgender individuals, and LGBTQ+ youth are at the highest risk for intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

At WIN Victim Services, we are committed to providing inclusive, affirming services for ALL survivors regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, socio-economic class, ability, and immigration status.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and respected.

You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone. đź’ś

Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Lucy 💜 Lucy has been volunteering with WIN Victim Services since 2011 as one of our Shelter and Hotline Volunteers—that’s 15 years of supporting survivors in our community!

What began as a way to stay busy in retirement quickly became something much more meaningful.

“It is so rewarding to be able to help someone who is having a really bad day,” Lucy shared. “It’s such a privilege to watch some of our clients walk through the doors lost and then watch their progression to finding a new home, securing a job, or buying a car.”

We are so grateful for volunteers like Lucy whose compassion and dedication help make hope and healing possible every day. đź’ś
