Congressman Evans Talks Road Funding at Asphalt Plant Tour!
The hot topic was road funding during US Congressman Gabe Evans’ tour to an Adams County asphalt plant on May 26. CAPA collaborated with the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) and BRANNAN SAND AND GRAVEL CO for a tour of the Brannan Lipan Asphalt Facility in north Denver.
Congressman Evans represents the Colorado 8th congressional district, which spans sections of Adams County, Larimer County, and Weld County. In addition to a walk through of the facility and a briefing on its operations, Congressman Evans provided his perspective on the need for sustainable funding for roads and highways. “Road funding is a basic service of government, and we have to find ways to improve the condition of Colorado roadways.”
Christopher Marvel, Manager, Brannan Sand and Gravel, stated, “We have a lot to showcase as an industry, and as a company, we are proud to have Congressman Evans visit and share his perspective on road funding.
