🌶️ We’re looking for 15 chili-loving cooks to bring their best recipe, battle it out, and help raise money for the sweet pups at Dogs Forever! 🐾

🤎 Harriet has a very serious question for you…

WHY are you still scrolling when there is a 42-pound brindle cuddlebug right here?! 👀🐾

Harriet is 1 year old and basically a walking mystery mix. We have no idea what ingredients went into making this girl, but we are VERY happy with the results. 😂

She’s got:
🤎 The most gorgeous brindle coat
🥹 Eyes that could talk you into just about anything
🐶 A love for other dogs — especially confident canine friends who can show her the ropes
🏡 A preference for a securely fenced yard
💕 And approximately 47 different ways to steal your heart

Honestly, we’re starting to think Harriet’s breed is 50% mystery, 50% sweetheart, and 100% “you should probably come meet me.” 🥰

🦇 Meet Bandit! 🦇

Okay, we’re going to need everyone to stay calm because LOOK AT THOSE EARS. 👀😂

Bandit is a 1-year-old Rat Terrier mix-sih?? weighing in at just 14 pounds, but those ears are approximately 14 pounds ALL BY THEMSELVES. We’re pretty sure they give him excellent satellite reception. 📡🐶

This little guy is friendly, playful, and ready to find his very own people! We’re still getting to know him, so we’re not quite sure yet how he feels about other dogs or cats. If you have another dog at home, we’ll require a meet & greet to make sure everyone is on board with the new roommate situation. We’ll also be cat testing Bandit soon.

We think this little dude would LOVE a fenced yard where he can safely zoom, investigate, and put those ears to good use. 😎

Bandit isn’t neutered just yet, but he has an appointment coming up soon!

🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM DOGS FOREVER 🚨🚨

We have a situation. We went to grab some peanut butter today and discovered we are down to TWO. JARS. 😳🥜

We have reason to believe there may be a secret peanut butter operation happening after hours.

We asked the dogs for answers. Nobody is talking.

One suspect looks extremely guilty. 👀
Another suddenly became very interested in the ceiling.
A third has hired a lawyer.

At this time, we have no hard evidence… but we also have no peanut butter. 🤨

So we're putting out an APB for:
🥜 Peanut butter
🥜 More peanut butter
🥜 Basically, any peanut butter you can responsibly donate

IMPORTANT: It MUST be xylitol-free! We like to keep things simple around here, so peanut butter with ingredients like “peanuts and salt” is exactly what we're looking for. It doesn't have to be the all natural or organic stuff, just nothing with the nasty stuff that's not good for dogs. ❤️

If you're doing your grocery shopping this weekend, toss a jar (or three 👀) in your cart for the pups!

You can drop it off Saturday between 10 AM–2 PM, leave it in the donation totes outside the left side of our main building (checked multiple times a day), ship it to us, or shop local and drop it off — whatever works for you!

🚨 PSA: Your new BFF may be 63 pounds and covered in fur. 🚨

Meet Baxter. 🐾❤️

He’s 2 years old, dog-friendly, great on a leash, LOVES getting outside, and is basically the perfect combination of adventure buddy + professional snug bug.

Walk? Baxter’s in.
Hike? Baxter’s in.
Couch snuggles? Baxter has cleared his schedule.
Following you around the house for absolutely no reason? Also yes. 😂

Baxter does need a home with kids older than toddlers. The tiny-human chaos is a little too much for him, and he’d much rather hang out with bigger kids who understand dog boundaries.

One important Baxter tip: Saturdays at the shelter are NOT his favorite. He gets nervous with all the activity, so don’t judge this handsome guy from his kennel! ❤️

Take him outside. Let him relax. Get to know him. We think you’re going to like what you find. 😉
