🍂🚲⛺ We’re squeezing in one last bike camping adventure before the season comes to an end!

We’re teaming up with our friends Goldfinch Cyclery on Saturday, October 10 for a fall ride out to Wickiup Hill. We’ll meet at Goldfinch Cyclery at 4:00 PM and roll out soon after, bikes loaded with camping gear and ready for some crisp autumn miles. The route will be mostly trail and pavement with a short stretch of gravel road. We’re so ready a night under the autumn sky, and a chance to enjoy fall by bike.

This is a self-supported trip, so come prepared with everything you’ll need for the overnight and pack for whatever October weather brings. Bike lights are a must as daylight will be limited!

ABCs with CRBH and CR Moves!

We recently welcomed a group of Cub Scouts to Chain Reaction for a hands-on ABC Workshop—Air, Brakes & Chain!

Together, we explored some of the basics of bicycle maintenance, giving the Scouts a chance to get their hands on the tools, ask questions, and build the knowledge and confidence to better understand and care for their bikes.

Workshops like this are a big part of what we’re working to build at Chain Reaction: making bicycle education approachable and accessible while partnering with local groups to create meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities.

A huge thank you to the Scouts and their leaders for spending time with us. We loved having you in the shop and helping the next generation of riders learn how to keep their bikes rolling! ❤️🚲

We recently had the opportunity to welcome our friends from ASAC to Chain Reaction for a volunteer event at the shop!

The group jumped in to work on bikes and tackle shop projects while learning more about the work that happens behind the scenes at Chain Reaction. We’re especially grateful for the opportunity to partner with an organization like ASAC whose work to support individuals, strengthen connections, and build healthier communities aligns so naturally with our own belief in the power of community and belonging.

Volunteer events like this remind us that bikes can be a great way to bring people together, build confidence, and create meaningful opportunities to contribute.

We were excited to recently welcome a team from Collins Aerospace to Chain Reaction for a day of volunteering!

The Collins team jumped right in to help us sort, organize, and prepare the shop for our Garage Sale, tackling the behind-the-scenes work that helped make the event a success. Their time and energy made a huge difference, and they also supported our work with a generous donation to CRBH.

Partnerships like this help us do more than get projects done. They connect local businesses and organizations and their employees directly with our mission and help strengthen the community we all share.

🚲♻️ That was a fun one!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the CRBH Garage Sale this past Saturday!

Bikes, parts, tires, accessories, project pieces, and plenty of oddball bike stuff found new homes—and that’s a win all around. Keeping usable bikes and parts out of the waste stream and putting them back into the hands of people who can use them is a big part of what Chain Reaction is all about.

But just as important was seeing our community show up—digging through parts, swapping bike stories, finding a great deal, and connecting with one another.

♻️ Reuse what we can. Make cycling more accessible. Bring people together. Thanks for helping us give good bike stuff another life and supporting Chain Reaction in the process. ❤️🚲

We had a great afternoon at Wellington Heights Community Church for our first Mobile Community Workshop!

Our Mobile Workshops are about more than bike maintenance—they’re about showing up, building relationships, sharing knowledge, and making bicycle resources more accessible right where people live. By bringing our tools, volunteers, and experience into local neighborhoods, we can help remove barriers while supporting people with the bikes they already rely on and enjoy.

A huge thank you to Wellington Heights Community Church for welcoming us and helping us connect with the neighborhood, and to our volunteers for making it possible.

This is exactly what we hope our Mobile Community Workshop can be: neighbors helping neighbors, stronger community connections, and more people empowered to keep their bikes rolling. ❤️🚲

And we’re excited to keep taking it on the road!
