Brave Ribbon Foundation Pink Christmas Utah is a nonprofit organization that helps families who are battling all types of cancer.

Pink Christmas is an event intended to help patients who have financial and are battling all types of cancer. This event was started in 2013 by Rachel Torres and Joy Coates to help Lori Blackner Myers when she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. It was decided after the first year and amazing community support that Pink Christmas would be made into an annual event in honor of Lori. This even

t will continue on for Lori as way to help her give back to all of those who have given and helped her so much during her battle with cancer. This event has continued to show what a great community we live in. A community who rally’s and supports its members when they are in need. This event is fully funded by the donations of local businesses and community members. 100 percent of all proceeds made during Lori’s Pink Christmas are directly given to the beneficiaries chosen each year and no funds are kept by any member of the Pink Christmas Committee. We want this to be a positive community event that continues to teach people old and young that the true meaning of Christmas is more than just boxes under a tree. This event is complete with a talent show, silent auction, and bake sale. Our sweet Lori lost her battle with cancer in September of 2015. The event now has an extra special meaning to many as we remember "it will all be okay".

We had an amazing turnout last night at Pink Christmas and another successful event. Thank you to all of the hard work put in by the Brave Ribbon Foundation team, our amazing community, and the many beneficiaries we have been privileged to honor over the last 13 years. The turn out of people and the amount of money we have raised in a 2.5 hour annual event is impressive. From the first event up through last night there have been efforts from hundreds of volunteers and supporters. The team has grown and changed but it always comes together amazingly. The amount of beneficiaries and their families that return each year to support the cause is incredible. It’s amazing how a last minute crazy idea put together by Joy and Rachel 13 years ago turned into something so special and in honor of someone that meant so much to them. We owe it to all of you! I can’t express enough gratitude. Thank You and Merry Pink Christmas!!!

Thank you to the local dance companies and community members who volunteered their time to provided entertainment at Pink Christmas last night!

December is incredibly busy for these companies and their families. We appreciate the many families who sacrifice another evening to help support these beneficiaries.

I’d like to give a huge shout-out to the amazing and dedicated ring leader of Pink Christmas...the one and only Rachel Cook!

Rachel started this fundraiser 13 years ago for her friend Lori Myers and she’s kept it going year after year with love and determination. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to secure beneficiaries, silent-auction donations, raffle items, bake sale goodies, a location, talent show, Santa… and of course all the incredible decorations and pictures representing all the past beneficiaries!

She is truly incredible and a well-oiled machine who never gives up. Over the past 13 years, she has built a legacy of helping 38 beneficiaries and raising approximately $400,000 for families in need.

She’s absolutely going to kill me for making this post, but I know I’m not alone when I say: Thank you, Rachel, for your hard work, your heart, and your passion for helping others. You are a gift to this community and the cancer world! 🎗️🩷

This pew thing is manufactured by Ros-si. It is the Rio Bravo Annie Oakley Edition which also happens to be a limited edition. Only 500 units were produced and the edition commemorates the legendary sharpie shooter. It has a barrel of a 18 inches, and a round capacity of 15. The item is beautiful with an engraved PVD gold finish, and a stock of wood.
