What a ROCKin’ good time! 🪨

Today, we got creative making rock bracelets and keychains while learning all about the different rocks and minerals displayed behind us. I love opportunities like this that make science hands-on, exciting, and accessible for students of all ages!!

One of the things I love most about STEAM is how art can bring learning to life. Creative projects are so valuable for young learners because they not only help students remember the lesson, but they also give them a special keepsake to take home and remind them of what they learned long after the event is over.

Whether you’re creating, exploring, or asking questions, there’s always a new way to find your sparkle. ✨

This FREE community event is packed with hands-on STEM activities, geology discoveries, outdoor exploration, food trucks, and so much more. And if you stop by Station #3 on the trail, you’ll find me making layered bracelets while learning about deposition layers!

Bring your family, grab your friends, and come spend an afternoon exploring, creating, and finding your sparkle. If you don’t have anything planned, I would absolutely LOVE to see you there! ✨🫶🏻

Hey friends!!

I’m rallying my people together for a cause that means so much to my heart, and I would be so grateful for your support.

I have a very personal connection to this mission. Heart health isn’t just something I advocate for, it’s part of my own story. Because of my experiences, I understand how important awareness, education, research, and support can be be for women and families facing heart related challenges.

This June at Miss Utah, I’m working toward becoming the top fundraiser and earning the title of Lady in Red, an opportunity that would allow me to continue advocating for women with stories like mine and help bring greater awareness to heart health across our communities. 🫶✨

MISS UTAH’S TEEN PRELIM 1 ✨👑

Words can’t even begin to express how proud I am of my sweet Sydney after Night One as a member of Miss Utah’s Teen team. She absolutely SPARKLED across that stage in both fitness and evening gown, and I couldn’t be more excited for Utah to witness the incredible talent this little powerhouse has to share. ✨

Another huge shoutout to my Color Country little sister, .ut Reagyn, who was absolutely fabulous and carried herself with such grace, confidence, and elegance all night long.

Plus a little hello from one of my sweet honeybees miss Emma 🤭🐝

Cheering on these amazing young women is such a joy, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the day holds! 🫶🏻✨

✨ STEAM Sunday! ✨🌋

Today we’re making DIY lava lamps! Get ready for some bubbly, colorful science fun! 🎨🫧

We’re exploring how oil and water have different densities and don’t mix together. When baking soda and vinegar react, they create carbon dioxide gas bubbles that carry the colored water up through the oil. Once the bubbles pop at the top, the water sinks back down, creating the moving lava lamp effect! ✨

You’ll need:
🥄 Baking soda
🫗 Vinegar
🎨 Food coloring
🫙 A glass jar
🥄 Measuring spoon
🛢️ Oil

This week we’re turning flowers into colorful science experiments with tie-dye flowers! Watch as white petals magically change colors by soaking up dyed water through their stems! 🤯🌈

You’ll need:
💧 Water
🎨 Liquid food coloring
🌼 White flowers
✂️ Scissors
🫙 Jars

Through capillary action, the flower pulls the colored water up through tiny tubes called xylem, carrying the color all the way to the petals! 🌱✨

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. My heart is so full knowing I have such an incredible family and community behind me. I truly couldn’t do this without each and every one of you.

Another huge thank you to everyone who gave such sweet feedback and love for the little glimmer of the talent I’ll be taking to the Miss Utah stage. I cannot wait to make you all and honor the amazing work my painting is inspired by so proud on the Miss Utah stage 🫶🏻

And the biggest shoutout to for always doing the absolute most for your titleholders and helping prepare us for state. We are so lucky to have a board that pours so much love, time, and support into each of us ✨

Today I spent Mother’s Day hiking through the creek, soaking in the beauty of Mother Nature and all the science woven into the world around us. From the flowing water shaping the rocks beneath our feet to the ecosystems thriving all around us, nature is one of the greatest classrooms there is.
