Mission: Needs Beyond Medicine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to decreasing the burden of cancer for individuals undergoing treatment. We achieve this by providing vital financial assistance for non-medical expenses and conducting community outreach and educational initiatives that promote early detection and cancer awareness. Vision: To ensure every cancer patient, regardless of geography,
has access to the vital resources they need to focus on healing. The Relief Program
The Need: Cancer treatment often leads to "financial toxicity"—a reality where basic survival costs become impossible to meet during a health crisis. The Action: We provide $575 grants to adults in active treatment to cover essential costs like rent, mortgages, utilities, and groceries. Educational Outreach
The Action: We host at least 6 annual community seminars focused on cancer risk factors, preventative screenings, and early symptoms. The Impact: We empower the public with the knowledge to seek help early, when cancer is most treatable. All seminars are free to attend. Signature Fundraising Events
