We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter in Casper, Wyoming. We have been a part of our community for over 65 years. As a non-profit, we do not receive any government funding and rely solely on the support of donors. Our role in the community is very important and while many people don't know the extent of our work, on any given day, we are home to more than 100 animals ranging from dogs and cats to g

uinea pigs, rats, reptiles, and birds. Not only do we provide basic care such as feeding and cleaning their living space, it is important to us that our animals receive spaying/neutering, vaccines, deworming, and microchipping, socialization, exercise, positive stimulation, training, and extensive vet care. Our time and attention is necessary to ensure our standards are met and our animals remain happy, healthy, and confident as they search for their new homes. On average, we find homes for nearly 500 animals every year. Our devotion to finding the best placement for each individual enables our ability to maintain a changing population and continue helping others in need. It is our daily goal to ensure animals that come into our care are healthy or nursed back to health and feel love and comfort during a vulnerable time in their lives, with the help of our volunteers alongside our staff, we are able to make this possible. Where are our Husky lovers at? 📣

Some dogs are memorable. Some dogs are unforgettable. And then there's Bella Bones. 😎 She isn't just a Siberian Husky, she's a legend. Her confidence is untouchable, her energy is giving unbothered, and let's be real, would you really expect this beauty to walk into a room and not own it? Come on, now. Everything she does is with style and if you couldn't tell, she's mastered a pose, and is eager to show off her stunningly good looks, reminding everyone that she is, in fact, THAT girl. 💅 She knows how to steal the show, but above all, she's perfected the art of stealing your heart. Bella is going to be an unshakable and loyal companion who loves her people and wants to be a part of the action. She's ready to trade the shelter for a home where she will be adored, admired, and maybe just a little bit spoiled (did someone say Unleashed Dog Bakery 👀). We'd be lying if we said she didn't deserve to be treated like the center of someone's universe. So, if you aren't ready to love her unconditionally, forever and ever, then ask yourself: What are you doin'?! 😤 Like any respectable Husky, she believes the great outdoors was made just for her, every walk is a grand expedition, and every squirrel or rabbit is suspicious. There's no doubt she needs an active family who will not only ensure she gets the best experience in this life, but prioritize her need for adventure, activity, and please, don't forget the kiddie pool for your queen. She has left a special print on all of us with her easy going, collected, and bubbly personality, and we know she is going to bring an irreplaceable warmth to her new home. 🫶 Bella is 5 1/2 years old, great with people, we anticipate that older children who can handle when she starts being, you know, a Husky, will be ideal. Her only true condition is being the only pet in the family, but we promise she will give more than enough love and fabulous personality to make up for it!

Get you a girl who looks at you like you are her whole world. 🥹

Calypso is a 6 year old Husky mix, and to be honest, she is the breath of fresh air that your heart has been begging for. There isn't a day that this smile isn't shining, the good vibes aren't vibing, and her beauty isn't radiating. ✨ Her ability to adapt, persevere, and still keep a close eye on her people to ensure they never feel an ounce of sadness should definitely be studied. The girl was born to be a solid companion with unwavering devotion, and let's be honest, that is a smoochable face if we ever saw one. 😍 Calypso doesn't just know how to be the best of besties with her presence and energy; she is extremely smart, eager to please, and has aced all of her basic commands. And, leash etiquette? Diva, you're just making it too easy for us. 👏👏👏 It's safe to say she'll be a great travel and adventure buddy, especially if water is involved. You can catch her posted up in the kiddie pools any time, anywhere, but you can't avoid circling back. Her favorite place to be is by your side. She's an exceptional cuddler, and when a day filled with fun comes to an end, the coziest place she can be is in bed with her people. But, that’s not even the best part about our undeniably adorable friend. Calypso extends her kindness to everyone: kids, dogs, and cats. She's just here for a good time, or maybe she is the good time? 🤘

Medical conditions do not make animals unworthy. We can attest that treating their Cushing's disease was worth every penny; THEY are worth every penny, our time, our effort, and most of all, our love. Did anyone order a side of attitude? 👀

Charlotte is our favorite ambivalent girly. She loves attention. Heck, she'll accept bum scratchies any time, anywhere, and laps? Well, consider them her personal throne. But, being picked up? Being told what to do? Forget about it, son. She draws a hard line at being your little "pet", but she will be your unashamed void queen. ✨ She is who she is, and to be honest, we adore her for A L L of it. Her perfectly green eyes, the notches in her ears, the love she chooses to give us, even though she really doesn't have to, but she does anyway. We don't need a cat who will pretend we're important or let us get away with whatever human tomfoolery. We need a cat who will show us we're special because all of her love and attention are a judicious choice. 🙏 She might complain, and yes, she has a lot of opinions (don't tell her we said that), but she's all hiss and no claw. Underneath her sassy little Charlotte exterior is a tender and devoted feline ready to be your companion for life. At the end of the day, she wants to be valued and know that her new home will be her final stop in life's crazy journey. Surrounded by good, caring, and committed people. For what it's worth, she deserves it; she deserves it a million times over. 🥹 Charlotte is 11 1/2 years old, but if you asked her, she'd probably never tell. If we looked this good, we wouldn't either. In the shelter, she is hissy but passive with other animals. It would be ideal for her to go to a calm home where she can absorb sunshine in peace, receive ample affection, and be treated like the treasure she is. We know somewhere out there is a wonderful family that was made just for her.

The passion. The intensity. The drive to achieve greatness in one tiny body. 🤌

Caramel is the queen of ball, and she's absolutely warming our hearts with her accomplishments and pride. This 4 year old Chihuahua mix (terrier? maybe? 🧐) is definitely one of the strongest personalities we've met. Honestly, you gotta respect a girl who knows what she wants, what she likes, what she dislikes. Why? Because she is unapologetically and fabulously herself (slay). 💅 Caramel just wants to be close to her people and, of course, room to run and play her favorite game to maintain her figure is non-negotiable. Don't look at us; she makes the rules. 😇 She is a bonder. Like, think of all the attention and affection a lil’ dog could give, multiply it by 10, and you get Caramel. She will be the glue that holds you together on the darkest days, and ultimately, she wants that reciprocated. She will always look to her closest humans for security, and in turn, you will be her most prized belonging. Yeah, you read that right, you will belong to her now, but come on, look at that face. What. A. Privilege! Your physical and emotional safety will never be compromised. But, she's not just a sworn protector; she's a certified cuddler, the epitome of bestie material, and every day with Caramel is a day you will be loved without condition and without measure. 🫶

Caramel will do best as the only pet in the home. In case anyone asks, she can't stand other animals. It's that simple. But she makes up for it by, well, being herself! If you've been looking for a single companion to give your all to, we think she may be ✨the one✨.

We all love a little of that special sweetness that comes knocking at our door. So, if you've ever needed a sign to get those cookies, this is it. 😎 Tagalong, Thin Mint, Do-Si-Do, and Samoa are the perfect bunch of 3 month old tabby kits. They came in with their mom and had to learn to trust, but let us tell ya, they are making strides. Our small friends have broken out of their shells and have the best energy. They are full of bubbliness, inquisitiveness, and yes, they are 100% as huggable as you can imagine, which is like, a lot. ✨ They want to be showered in feathery toys, have plenty of fun places to explore (indoors only because we ain't about that thug life), and at the end of the day, they want to feel safe. Loved. Cherished. There is an innocence in this world that can only be found in their eyes, and it doesn't need to be said, BUT they deserve only the best. So, make sure you get that pate food ready, the best toys money can buy, and prepare your arms to hold the greatest treat your heart will ever know. 🙏

Umm, what business do you have being this cute, sir? 😭

Tito is a 1 1/2 year old, Boxer/Pit Bull mix. If you're familiar with either of these breeds, then you may be able to guess that he is not only a giant goober, but he is overflowing with love to give. ✨ Proportionately, not really a lap dog, but in his heart, he is, and you know what? That's valid, our friend. We all have our own love language, and he is absolutely ready to invade personal space because uh, why aren't we touching again? Asking for himself. 🤔 There are many things he cherishes in this world. People, other dogs (he hasn't met any males, but he seems to like females), we were told he does well with cats and will test upon request, but his one vice is a good game of fetch. He could chase a ball for hours, he'll even bring it back, but dropping it? It's a work in progress, but there's a lot of promise in those sparkling brown eyes! Tito knows his basic commands and is quite well behaved. In the shelter, it can be overwhelming for a young guy who just wants to play and be by your side. We know in a more personal and individualised setting, he has room to grow, and he is eager to meet expectations. We wouldn't really expect anything less from such a good boy. He's smart, kind, and all he needs is a special someone who will invest in his success, be his bestie, and ensure he never goes a day without feeling like the most loved dog in the world. 🫶 Also, a celebratory trip to Unleashed Dog Bakery? Come on, look at that tongue, the lips, the eyes. He deserves it. 🥹 Tito has not been around small children, but we do think he will do well with older children. You know, boundaries and such, but he seems to have a soft spot for just about anyone willing to give him the head and bum scratchies he yearns for. So, if you've been looking for a younger, playful, and totally handsome boy to give all of your attention to, we think Tito will be a perfect fit for you. ✨

Don't forget the shelter is open from 12 pm - 5 pm, Tuesday - Saturday, and Tito will be waiting!
