We meet every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Guests are welcome! You must be 18 years or older to attend a Toastmasters club.

Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Please feel welcome to reach out to us if you have any questions.

WHAT CAN 20–30 DEDICATED WOMEN ACCOMPLISH? 💜

According to D’Lee Mayberry, quite a lot!

During her inspiring presentation at Club 47, D’Lee shared that her Soroptimist club gave away $40,000 last year through its fundraising efforts.

She also highlighted how Soroptimist supports women through programs such as the Live Your Dream Awards, helping recipients invest in their education and future opportunities.

And one thing D’Lee made clear? Giving back can be FUN!

Thank you, D’Lee, for showing us the power of community, generosity, and women working together toward a meaningful mission.

🎃👻 SOMETHING BEWITCHING HAPPENED AT CLUB 47!

Our members brought Halloween spirit to a meeting filled with costumes, laughter, speeches, and opportunities to grow!

With the theme “Things That Go Bump in the Night,” we celebrated creativity while continuing to build our public speaking and leadership skills.

👏 Special recognition to our speakers, Felipe Leme and Anna Dmitrieva, along with everyone who participated in Table Topics, evaluations, and meeting roles.

Congratulations to our award recipients, and thank you to everyone who helped make the meeting memorable!

One thing is certain… our members know how to mix learning with FUN!

A good story entertains. A great evaluation helps make the next one even better! 🎤👏

During his evaluation of Richard Guiss’s “Summer Vacations,” Ryan Stangl praised the authenticity and humor of Richard’s memories from 1973.

He also shared some valuable storytelling tips about building suspense, using descriptive language, and bringing scenes to life.

And apparently, Richard left us with a cliffhanger because Ryan is already requesting Part 2! 😂✈️

Congratulations to Ryan on earning Best Evaluator!

🎺 SOME PASSIONS NEVER FADE… AND THE LEARNING NEVER STOPS!

Our Table Topics Master, Diana Abrahms, asked a simple question:

“What was your favorite subject in school, and has that changed over time?”

Gregg Peele’s answer? MUSIC!

He shared how his love for the trumpet began as a child and continued into seventh grade when he chose his first brass trumpet.

More than 50 years later, Gregg is still learning, practicing, and enjoying the challenge!

With humor and a wonderful personal story, he reminded us that learning isn’t something we finish. It’s something we continue throughout our lives.

EVER BEEN HAPPY… BUT YOUR FACE SAID OTHERWISE?! 😂😭

Marty had us laughing during his General Evaluation when he admitted that sometimes his THINKING FACE looks a little more intimidating than intended! 😂

But behind the humor was a great communication lesson!

Your facial expressions matter just as much as your words.

He also gave a shoutout to our Table Topics Master, Rosario, for bringing engaging questions and great energy to the stage! 🎤👏

Because communication isn’t just about what you SAY… it’s also about what people SEE!

😂 A LITTLE HUMOR AND A WHOLE LOT OF WISDOM!

Our Club 47 Jokemaster, Robin Lovejoy, shared a clever story about a barber, a young boy, and a choice between a dollar bill and two quarters.

The barber thought he was proving the boy wasn’t very smart.

But the punchline revealed something completely different!

The boy knew that taking the dollar would end his opportunity to keep collecting quarters. 😂

What a fun way to connect humor with our meeting theme, The Joy of Learning!

Thank you, Robin, for reminding us that appearances can be deceiving and there’s often more to a story than we first realize.

PREPARATION MEETS PRESENTATION! 🎤👏

Henry Heller gave D’Lee Mayberry a wonderful shoutout following her inspiring speech.

From providing her written introduction ahead of time to being ready when called upon, D’Lee demonstrated how preparation helps create a smooth and professional presentation.

And as Henry pointed out, she was certainly dressed for success!

During our meeting, Marty gave our Facebook photos and videos a special shoutout!

He joked about being old enough to still use Facebook, but then shared something that truly touched us.

Even when he misses a meeting, seeing those familiar faces and moments makes him feel connected.

And that’s exactly what Club 47 is about! 💙
