The ROG
Our Vision The Richness of Giving (ROG) was created from the understanding that there is an abundant need for programs and services dedicated to alleviating poverty in developing countries like Nicaragua. Together we hope to give every person – regardless of where they live – access to well-built spaces where they can manage their health, further their education, and increase their economic mobility.
Who Are We? The ROG board of directors is made up of five friends with over 20 plus years of friendship and adventure. We are all in varying fields of business; Restaurant & Bar Operations, Finance, Furniture Stores Owner, and Environmental Biologist, but together we all have one very core thing in common: the desire to do more for others that have less. A recent trip to Nicaragua inspired ROG founder, Andy Davis, to do just that.
We came together and agreed to commit to raise funds to construct a home for a family and then we will travel back to Nicaragua to build that residence with our bare hands. It is a journey going from a humble idea to a reality, but hard work and your help WILL get us there.
Our Goal Our goal is to raise funds in order to assist with the building of safe, sustainable infrastructure for ten low-income families in the rural Nicaraguan communities of Jiquilillo, Padre Ramos, and the community of El Limonal near Chinandega. We believe that, together, our focus on providing access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity, can help put an end to global poverty.
