More than a gift. An act of Aloha. 🥥🌺

Did you know that in Pasifika culture, the lei is a sacred symbol of a “braided” connection? It represents the binding of the giver and the receiver, a circle of love that has no beginning and no end. Historically, leis were given to mark significant life transitions—to honor high-ranking chiefs, welcome travelers, and celebrate the crossing of milestones like the one your graduate is about to reach.

When you give a lei, you aren’t just giving flowers; you are draping your graduate in your own time, effort, and intentions.

Join us on June 7th—just two days before graduation—for our “Ti” Party & Lei Making Workshop. While we string and twist under the guidance of award-winning lei maker Cristina Alvarez, we’ll explore the “science of scent” by incorporating aromatic herbs and edible botanicals into your designs.

What your $40 ticket includes:
• ✨ Hands-on instruction to create TWO fresh leis to take home (one for the ceremony, one for the celebration!).
• 🌿 Premium materials: Traditional blooms mixed with culinary elements like bay leaves and dried citrus.
• 🥥 Island Refreshments: Signature treats and floral-infused teas (our version of a “Ti” Party).
• 🤝 Impact: 100% of proceeds support the Pasifika Culinary Project’s mission of food sovereignty and heritage preservation.

Forget the store-bought plastic. Give them something that carries the weight of your hands and the scent of the islands.
🎟 Space is limited to keep the experience intimate. Tap the link in bio to secure your spot!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms, aunties, and grandmothers! Whether you’re a baker, a maker, a full-time worker, or a manager of all things household and heart, today we celebrate you.

As a mom of three myself, I know that motherhood is its own kind of “living laboratory”—a constant blend of managing schedules, nurturing traditions, and finding comfort in the kitchen. Today, I hope you get a moment of peace and a seat at a table where you’re the one being served.

A special shout-out to the “Aunties” who are the keepers of our heritage. Much of what we do at the Pasifika Culinary Project is inspired by the hands of the women who came before us—the ones who taught us that food is a vessel for identity and love.
Wishing you all a day filled with sweetness and much-deserved appreciation! 🌺🥥✨

This is the dream: The Pasifika Culinary Project “Living Laboratory.” 🌿🥥✨

When I close my eyes, this is what I see for our community—a space where our ancestral crops like Ulu, Talo, and Cassava thrive in San Diego soil. A place where the smoke of the Umu rises, where our youth learn the “Technology of Tradition,” and where we gather to share the flavors of the islands at a community table.

We are building the bridge from vision to reality, and we need your help to ground this mission. Whether you have been with us since day one or you’re just joining the journey, there are four ways you can support the dream today:

1️⃣ Learn a Craft: Join us June 7th at 12 PM for our Lei Making Workshop with award-winning artist Christina Ramirez. Make two leis for your favorite grad (Oceanside graduation is June 9th!) and support our mission. 🎓🌺

2️⃣ Celebrate with Us: Our big Pasifika Pop-Up & Fundraiser is happening June 28th at Pour House! It’s a free community event with a live “Scraper Experience” and a massive raffle to hit our $10k goal. 🎟️🔥

3️⃣ Invest in the Future: Every donation goes directly toward our 2026 workforce programs and our search for permanent land to call home. 501(c)(3) tax-deductible donations can be made at the link in our bio. 💰🌱

4️⃣ Share the Story: The most powerful thing you can do? Share this post. Send it to a friend, tag a local business, or post it to your stories. Word of mouth is how we build this village. 🗣️🙌🏽

We aren’t just growing food; we are growing a legacy. Let’s build the lab together.
