🎶 He was born a scramblin’ man 🎶 🍳
When we talk about foster based rescue, many people ask us “How long are the cats/dogs with you? How long does it take to get an animal adopted?” And our answer is always “As long as it takes. We will wait until they find their forever.” ⏱️
Scramble has been waiting….he’s been waiting a LONG time. 442 days to be exact. 🗓️ Scramble was found as a kitten with his two siblings and mom. He came into our care from animal control, and what a ride it’s been with him.
Scramble was a timid kitten, frozen in a corner behind his brother and sister. He watched his mom and siblings find their forever home. He slowly came out of his shell, and we found out how much love he has to give. He turned into the resident snuggle buddy, but then things took a turn for the worse. 😖 He developed FIP, a once 100% fatal disease, but now treatable with months of daily medication, monitoring, and bloodwork. He fought hard through treatment, showing us the strength he was hiding. He waited through his observation period, as foster mom kept a watchful eye on him. We celebrated the day he was deemed cured and became adoptable, sure that after all he went through, he’d find his forever home quickly. 🤞
And yet, he kept waiting.
He’s made fast friends with his foster siblings, loving the company of other cats. He prefers the company of a calmer dog, who understands every cat needs space now and then. He is great with kids. He’s a fierce snuggler, refusing to leave foster mom’s side at night. He’s phenomenal pest control, a bit of a klutz, and all around a pretty chill guy.
Scramble would like to be done waiting. He’d like to have his person come find him already. He’s promised us he’ll be brave in his new home and do his best to make sure his person never feels alone ❤️
Could you share his story? We know Scramble’s person is out there, and we want to find them!
Scramble’s adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines, FeLV/FIV test, FIP treatment, bloodwork, and flea/heartworm/intestinal parasite prevention.
