Dragonheart Vermont’s annual community paddling races fundraising for breast cancer survivor activities & local need No experience necessary. Come join the fun!

Mark your calendars, our 16th annual Festival will be August 7, 2022. During practice weekend, on July 9/10, our coaches will be instructing the community teams in technique, stroke, and race strategies. The Festival involves community and other teams racing 41-foot long dragon boats for an unforgettable day of fitness, fun, and fundraising. Our community teams are made up of local businesses, non-profits, service groups, neighbors, and families like YOU who know that together we can make a real difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors with cancer. Only 17 people (16 paddles and a drummer) to create a team. Can't find that many folks to form a team but want to paddle? We can help you find a team to join. Tonight we provided a check for $30,000 to Cancer Patient Support Foundation thanks to all the funds raised by festival participants. Much needed resources to help fellow Vermonters coping with cancer diagnoses.

We gave out thank you gifts to recognize the critical support provided by our highest level sponsors including our long time presenting sponsor Community Bank, N.A.,

We also recognized some of our retiring long time festival volunteers as well as our retiring Festival Coordinator who’ve worked tirelessly to make our festivals run smoothly.

It was a wonderful day.

Enormous thanks to all who participated: DHVTers, volunteers, our numerous sponsors, announcers, 22 Dragons, Dark star (sound!!) racers and drummers, musicians, food trucks, shoppers, cheerers—you made it work, be joyful and fun. A fantastic day all around.
