Luna would like to remind everybody that she is going to make her debut in VT tomorrow and is ready to accept belly rubs, give unsolicited kisses, and maybe even some side eye if snacks aren't being shared lol. Do you think this girl could be a good fit for you?

Dwight is a 2-year-old, 55-pound sweetheart who is dreaming of one thing: a family to call his own.

Shelter life has been hard on this handsome boy, and he’s ready for a place where he can finally relax, feel safe, and let his wonderful personality shine. Dwight may be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time and kindness, and you’ll see him blossom into the loving companion he’s meant to be.

Looking for a loyal companion with a playful side? Meet Mira, a beautiful 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing around 60 pounds!

Mira is a smart, attentive girl who loves treats and enjoys learning with her people. She has a nice medium energy level, but don’t let that fool you — if you’re looking for a fetch partner, Mira is ready to play all day!

She has great leash manners and rides nicely in the car, making her a wonderful candidate for adventures big and small. Mira has even enjoyed weekend sleepovers with staff, giving her some extra experience outside the shelter. She also enjoys playing with other dogs!

Mira is comfortable with handling and does well in her kennel, making her an easygoing girl to spend time with.

"Dolly." Shepherd Mix, Female. 1 yrs old, 40 lbs

DOLLY! Sweet as pie and absolutely PRECIOUS!

Oh, this little girl! Dolly is just the sweetest, most tenderhearted little thing, and she is going to make someone an absolutely WONDERFUL companion!

Right now, Dolly is a little overwhelmed by shelter life. She's a smallish girl in a big, scary place, and she just needs a minute to realize everything is okay. But give her a little patience, some gentle affection, and a few kind words, and she warms up so quickly! Once she knows you're a friend, she absolutely LOVES being loved on.

And her leash walking is just too funny! Dolly initially does a little army crawl because she's unsure of herself, but once she gets going, she pops right up and trots along beautifully! It's almost like she just needs a minute to get her courage together!

Dolly is WONDERFUL with other dogs! She's gentle, submissive, polite, and such a sweet little playmate. She's not pushy or rude, and she gets along beautifully with her canine friends.

She's also great with children! A Good Samaritan who cared for Dolly while she was hanging around her property for a couple of weeks discovered that Dolly LOVES running alongside the kids while they're riding bicycles and four-wheelers! Not chasing, just happily trotting along and joining in the fun! How stinking CUTE is that?!

And speaking of running, we think Dolly would make an absolutely fantastic jogging or running buddy! She's got that adorable, athletic little build and clearly enjoys being active once she's comfortable.

Something else that tells us Dolly has been loved and worked with at some point is that she already knows SIT and DOWN, and we think she may even know SHAKE! She's smart, attentive, well-mannered, and such a GOOD girl!

Dolly is the perfect combination of gentle sweetness and playful potential. She's cautious at first, but underneath that little bit of shyness is a happy, affectionate, fun-loving girl just waiting for the chance to blossom.

And at her size, she's going to remain a wonderful, manageable, smaller-medium companion!

Please don't overlook Dolly just because she's a little scared at the shelter. She's not difficult, she's not unfriendly, and she's certainly not lacking in personality. She's simply a sweet little girl trying to make sense of a big, overwhelming world.

Give her a little time, a little reassurance, and a whole lot of love, and I think you're going to discover one absolutely AMAZING dog.

Somewhere out there is Dolly's person, and goodness gracious, are they going to be lucky to have her!

Meet Ashton!

Oh, this precious little boy! Ashton came into the shelter with his sister, Artemis, and both are a little overwhelmed by their new surroundings. And who could blame them? The shelter is a big, scary place for two young pups!

Ashton is a sweet, tender little fellow who can be unsure at first but warms up quickly. He really enjoys playing with other doggies, but here's the adorable part. He hasn't quite figured out how to initiate play! He needs another doggy to coax him into it, and once they do, it's GAME ON! Suddenly, he's all wiggly, silly, playful puppy! It's absolutely precious to watch.

He walks pretty well on leash, although he can be a little darty. He waits to potty outside, takes treats gently, and has the CUTEST little underbite you ever did see!

Ashton just needs a little patience, reassurance, and a loving home where he can feel safe. Once that happens, this sweet boy is going to blossom into the happy, playful puppy he's meant to be.

He's going to make some lucky family a WONDERFUL little companion!

At 2.5 years old and 34 pounds, Fantasia is a sweet, loving girl with a heart as big as her name!

Fantasia recently finished raising her two puppies, and her nurturing spirit didn’t stop there. She also helped care for orphaned kittens, showing just how gentle and compassionate she can be.

This wonderful girl gets along with people of all ages, other dogs, and cats, making her a lovely addition to a variety of families.
