Our Core Training covers the principles and tasks of Intentional Peer Support. This interactive, transformational training is offered in "real time", is interactive, full of rich dialogue, and designed to have you learning and practicing peer support right away.

A neighbor bringing a meal matters.
So do policies that ensure people have enough food.

A compassionate employer can make a difference.
So can workplaces that protect mental health and support recovery.

A dedicated peer worker can change someone's experience of care.
So can systems that invest in peer support.

We need both: individual acts of compassion and collective commitments that make care sustainable.

Kindness can change someone's day. Systems change can transform the conditions shaping their lives.

Let's build communities where care doesn't depend on extraordinary individual sacrifice.

WRAP's founder and developer. We are so lucky to have had her here in VT!

Mary Ellen Copeland has been serving on the WRAP, Inc. Board of Directors as an Emeritus member, and we are so happy to announce that she is now serving on the board.

As we enter WRAP's 30th-anniversary year, we couldn't be more delighted than to have her input, expertise, ideas, and knowledge informing the array of plans we have to celebrate this milestone!

For 87 years, we’ve shown up for what Vermont needed next. Right now, we need Vermont to show up for us. 🧡

Every dollar of VAMHAR’s federal funding is gone. We’ve spent the past year using our reserves and piecing together funding to keep our staff working and our programs moving.

That bought us time—but not stability.

Now, we need to raise $150,000 by the end of October to carry VAMHAR through this transition.

We believe deeply that there is a future on the other side of this. A future where we keep training service providers. Keep advancing su***de prevention. Keep creating free learning opportunities. Keep strengthening workplaces. Keep advocating. Keep bringing people together. Keep building what Vermont needs next.

Join our partner NBHAP for the free CE webinar 'From Comfortably Numb to Fully Alive: Stress, Addiction, Recovery, and the Science of Human Flourishing'.

Dr. Bob Weathers will offer an integrative framework for understanding addiction that is at once clinically grounded, psychologically informed, and immediately applicable in everyday practice. Rather than focusing primarily on addictive behaviors themselves, participants will explore the deeper physiological and psychological conditions that allow addiction to emerge, persist, and, ultimately, lose its grip.

SELF-ADVOCACY can be one of the more challenging of the WRAP Key Concepts. This is particularly true if you haven't been encouraged to share your voice, needs, and desires throughout your life. Whether due to family dynamics, cultural norms, people pleasing, trauma histories, anxiety, or nervousness, SO many of us feel scared, nervous, ashamed, embarrassed, or guilty about standing up for ourselves and letting people what we needs to be well and happy.
