Greater Burlington Halloween Weekend | October 29–November 1

The biggest Halloween weekend of the year is here! From trick-or-treating and trunk-or-treats to haunted attractions and family fun, Greater Burlington and the surrounding communities are ready for a spooktacular weekend.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29

Start the Halloween fun early! The Views of Burlington Trick-or-Treat Night runs from 4–5:30 PM, and Southeastern Community College Community Trunk or Treat in West Burlington takes place from 5–7 PM with candy, music, and food trucks. You can also check out Burlington Area YMCA Trunk or Treat and Halloween activities around town.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30

Head downtown for Halloween fun at the Capitol The Capitol Theater, where Hocus Pocus hits the big screen at 7 PM. The Haunted Auditorium is also back with its Four Floors of Terror for those looking for a fright!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31 — HALLOWEEN!

It's the big day! Bring the kids to Trick or Treat at Appleberry Orchard from 11 AM–4 PM.

For an evening of family fun, Burlington's citywide trick-or-treating runs from 5:30–7:30 PM. Burlington Iowa Police Department's FREE Safe Trick or Treat at the Port of Burlington runs from 6–8 PM, offering a fun alternative for little ghosts and goblins.

You can also enjoy KidSymphony: The Concert for Families at 4:30 PM at The Capitol Theater Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1

Keep the fall fun going with a family outing to FunCity Resort, a visit to a local park, or one last weekend adventure before the holiday season begins!

Greater Burlington Weekend Guide | October 21–25

Spooky season is in full swing, and there is plenty to do around Greater Burlington this weekend! From live music and downtown Halloween fun to trick-or-treating, haunted attractions, and fall activities, make plans to get out and explore.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21

Take a midday break with the Burlington Lunchtime Chamber Music Series from noon to 1 PM.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22

Downtown Burlington, Iowa comes alive during Night of the Living Windows from 5–7 PM! Stroll Jefferson Street and see spooky, animated Halloween displays in downtown storefronts. Then head to The Washington for live blues with Mike Zito from 7–10 PM.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23

Looking for Halloween thrills? Haunted Auditorium returns with its Four Floors of Terror, and Appleberry Orchard hosts Appleberry After Dark for an evening of Halloween-themed family fun. You can also find Halloween fun at Bickford with a special trick-or-treat event.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24

Get the little ones dressed up for Hy-Vee's FREE Kids Club Trick or Treat from 10 AM–1 PM at 3140 Agency Street. For more fall fun, head to Appleberry Orchard for Appleberry After Dark or make the trip to Mount Pleasant for Midwest Haunted Rails and Thrashers House of Terror.

In the evening, enjoy Halloween Bingo and a Costume Party with Southeast Iowa Resource Center, or head downtown to the Capitol The Capitol Theater for Madman's Diary, an Ozzy Osbourne tribute show at 8 PM.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25

Wrap up the weekend with the C***r Run Car Show at Appleberry Orchard from 11 AM–4 PM. You can also catch the Menopause Movie Afternoon in Burlington or head to the Bel Canto Chorale Fall Concert at 2 PM. Finish the weekend with a little Halloween fun at the Goodwill of the Heartland Trunk or Treat from 6–7 PM.
