Each month, a department has the opportunity to select a nonprofit to support, and this month the Loan Department chose The Self Reliance Group.

The Self Reliance Group partners to develop and implement programs, partnerships, and services that assist rural veterans in managing and caring for their individual health outcomes.

Learn about an upcoming event they are hosting on Friday, July 24 @ SEIA Veterans Stand Down.

This donation is a monetary gift, allowing it to be used where it’s needed most. We are proud to support all things local. As a community bank, it’s simply who we are.

Oxytocin, the ‘love hormone’, significantly impacts health & wellbeing. Increased oxytocin production leads to improvements across:

- emotional stability/ease depression & anxiety
- stress reduction through cortisol reduction
- reproductive health/cycle regulation
- social interactions via encouragement of pro-social behaviors
- childbirth & parent/infant bonding

Everyday activities such as social bonding, nurturing relationships, & physical touch provide a biological frame of reference for human bodies to regulate within their environment.
