Burlington, IA- The Burlington STEM Foundation has purchased the Craftsman Press Building at 203 North 3rd Street. According to a news release, the transfer of ownership of the building will take place over the summer. Craftsman Press

We were so excited to bring Drone Soccer to the Southeast Iowa Regional STEM Fest at SCC today, along with the Burlington Model Airplane Club!

Our organization is working on ways to make STEM fun and exciting - we feel this is just one way to help do that. Drone Soccer is a educational tool that would require students to build the drone, program it, and learn to fly it and maintain it. This touches many of the areas of STEM, technology, aerodynamics, engineering - can you think of others?

Our hope would be to fundraise/help attain grants for the area schools for this, so that perhaps we can organize some competitions someday!
