🔥 2026 Annual Burlington Fire Department Retirement Supper 🔥

Tonight was a special opportunity to honor those who have dedicated their time, service, and lives to the Burlington Fire Department.

This photo represents members of the department dating back to 1964 through today. More than six decades of service, sacrifice, stories, memories, and knowledge are represented in one photo.

The knowledge passed from one generation of firefighters to the next is irreplaceable. The stories shared, lessons learned, friendships formed, and memories made are what connect our past to our present—and help shape our future.

This annual time of reflection holds great importance to all of us. We pause to remember those who came before us, honor those who served, and recognize the lasting impact they have had on our department and our community.

Tradition. Service. Legacy.

Thank you to every member—past and present—for being part of the Burlington Fire Department family. ❤️‍🔥🚒

Is it Christmas in July?! 🎄☀️

Nope, it’s the Fire & Splash Summer Bash, and in our totally unbiased opinion, that’s even better. 😌 So grab the family, call your friends, and come on down! Shoot, you can even invite your second cousin’s best friend’s roommate, we’re not picky. 😂

Join us today from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the 400 block of Valley Street for plenty of summer fun with BFD, Drake Hardware & Software, and Elks Lodge 84!

See ya soon! 🚒🔥💦

This week our local had the opportunity to travel to Waterloo for the 102nd annual IPFF convention. It’s a great opportunity to continue to learn how to strengthen our union and better represent our fellow union brothers and sisters! 🚒🚑

Way to Go!! 💪🏼

Please join us in congratulating FF Tristan Timmerman for completing the seven‑week Spring Fire Academy at the Illinois Fire Service Institute.

This achievement represents far more than classroom hours and training drills — it reflects Tristan’s dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering work ethic. The academy demands long days, physical and mental toughness, and a commitment to mastering the skills required to protect others. Tristan met every challenge head‑on and demonstrated the character and determination that define the fire service.

We are proud to welcome Tristan into our ranks and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our department and community.
