Some of the National Animation Museum team recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Wētā Workshop in New Zealand!

Wētā is the organization behind breathtaking films and productions like The Lord of the Rings, and its work has had an ongoing impact on the world of museums, immersive experiences, and exhibitions.

Thank you to the Wētā team for the wonderful tour and for your lasting legacy in animation, animatronics, and special effects!

We are sharing the news that Black N Animated (BNA) is hosting an upcoming two-part virtual workshop, Story for Feature Animation, taught by veteran storyboard artist Christian Roman.

The intermediate-level course will take place on Saturday, October 4th and Saturday, October 11th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM PT.

Designed for students with foundational drawing skills, the course will explore the essentials of storyboarding, including how to build a strong three-act story structure and how visual storytelling differs from written storytelling, covering composition, cinematography, and more.

We were thrilled to meet with partners like Param Foundation and The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, exchange ideas with experts from around the world, and share our latest projects and updates with fellow members of the ASTC community.

We’re thrilled to launch our first digital exhibit, celebrating the impact of animation across 20 years of IndieCade and the world of independent video games.

We’re also excited for our news to be featured in Skwigly Online Animation Magazine.

The National Animation Museum celebrates Coyote vs. Acme!

The live-action animated adventure brings the iconic world of Looney Tunes to the big screen and is currently out in theaters with rave reviews. National Animation Museum Advisor Chris deFaria produced the unforgettable film.
