After 20 years, L.A. Contemporary Dance is closing with gratitude and pride.
Our work was shaped by a powerful collective —dancers, choreographers, directors, managers, composers, playwrights, designers, photographers, filmmakers, collaborators, and partners of all kinds—who transformed our shared vision into moving experiences representative of L.A.’s unique artistry and spirit.
We are deeply thankful for all the artists, supporters, family, and friends who helped build this company and community. While the organization concludes, the relationships and values continue forward with all of you.
Please note that the LACDC website will remain available at www.lacontemporarydance.org with access to documentation of our repertory.
In addition, Jamila Glass will be independently continuing her Community Class at Stomping Ground L.A. on Saturdays from 10:30a-12p.
For more information, visit www.jamilaglass.com.
And to anyone considering starting a company or pursuing a dream project - Do it. Start now.
Don't wait for the opportunity - be the opportunity. We need your voice and creative work more than ever.
Thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey 🤍
