It's official, Governor Gavin Newsom today signed AB 1267 (Pellerin, D-Santa Cruz), which bans child marriage in the state of California!

The Zonta Club of Burbank Area has been working for years to raise awareness on this issue and advocate to ban child marriage, and we could not be more thrilled and relieved at this news.

Thank you to the organizations, political leaders, and individuals who have been working to ban child marriage in our state, and to those who will continue to do so until child marriage is banned in the entire country.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who fought hard on this issue!
