The holiday season has started and Silver Pride is excited to celebrate Turkey Day this year! 🦃 We will be celebrating a little earlier than usual with special cookies and a holiday-themed game of Pictionary at Amherst. The rest of the month we’ll be turning it over to our occupational therapy students. At Wegmans this month, we’ll be having some real talk with our students about hospitalization. But we’ll lighten back up with a presentation at Cheektowaga about adaptive s*x and intimacy practices with aging! Make sure to use respectful language with our students. 😊

Surprise! We will have an additional meetup this month! Join our occupational therapy students at Amigone Funeral Home in Williamsville to put the FUN in funeral. There will be a special presentation from Amigone staff!

What's better than a Silver Pride meetup? A super special surprise Silver Pride meetup, that's what! Join our occupational therapy students for a secret fun game and speed friending! Play games, meet friends, and celebrate Halloween all at the same time. This meetup will take place at the Cheektowaga Senior Center right down the hall from our normal meetup room. More details can be found below.

Ever wondered how we know so much about LGBTQ+ history here in Western New York? Thanks to the Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ History Project we can reflect and appreciate those before us! This LGBTQ+ history month, be sure to go to Tipico, Extra Extra and Cafe Bewilderment to donate and support such an amazing project!

Don't forget: it's LGBTQ+ History Month and our 10th birthday, a very good time to support our work by visiting any (or all) of these great local businesses!
